ok im 12 i weigh 116 pounds im 5'2. i wear a 3 in juniors and wear a 32B i think im a whale how can i lose weight before school starts? (August 24)

ofcourse your not. 12 was a weird age for me and a lot of my friends. A lot of them who use to be chubby are now walking sticks. You don't need to loose weight, if you seriously think you want to slim down just snack on fruits and veggies and get active or more than you are already. Just don't starve yourself or do any fad diets kay??

When I was 12 I weighed 130 and was 5' 6. You want to talk about self-conscious! It took me only a little while to get over that, once volleyball came around, I was the star of the show!! It was then I learned to love my body and myself for who I am and what I can become. I can't help it if I'm surrounded by shrimps! I am now in my 30's and weigh 160 and am 6ft. 2in., and love every minute of it. I work out regularly and try (did i say TRY!!!) to eat healthy. I am who I am, I cannot change it so I made the best out of it. I went to college on a basketball scholarship and am now a veterinarian. I love my life.

The 'perfect weight' for a full grown, 5'2" womanis 110.
You are still gaining height, so don't lose weight - just keep an eye on it.
Do 3 sets each of 10 reps daily: pushups, situps, obliques, and crunches.
Do some form of aerobic activity 3 days a week for at least 30 minutes [ walk, swim, bike, dance, run ].
Avoid fried, fast, and junk food.
Drink 1/2 gallon of water a day.
Take a multivitamin with minerals every day.

You're not a whale!!! You're 12... and your body does all these weird things for a while at this time. You can talk to your doctor if it really bothers you, but I imagine s/he'd tell you just to keep up good habits and to leave it ALONE for now.

Seriously, it's normal - 12 year old girls just get a little... lumpy for a while, while things are in flux. This is an important time for your body, and not a time where you should be starving it! (which is what dieting is)

Good luck! You're not fat - everytime you look in the mirror, say something nice to yourself :) You deserve to love your body!

116 POUNDS IS NOT FAT AT ALL. you ARE A 12 YR GIRL AND YOU ARE STILL GROWING AND NOT HARDLY IN PUBERTY ; SO JUST RELAX, My son is 10 and he is 100 pounds and is still growing too.Just cut down on some sweets as summer you will lose weight from swimming ; bike riding and yes even walking..Sweetie you are to young to be stressing over your weight already.Just grow and eat healthy and don;t worry what others are doing ; as you are your own person; and whats good for them might not be right for you,,,,, lots of luck ,,,,,

First of all, you are not a whale or anything close to it.

If you want to lose some weight, do it the healthy way. Make smarter choices with what you eat, use moderation, and exercise.

You're only 12, you're going to grow into your body. We all can find things that we don't like about ourselves, but it usually things that no one else can notice! Don't be self conscious... love who you are.

Play some sports with your friends for fun, anything to keep busy, and just eat healthy.
