First of all, i just recently turned 16 at the beginning of this month and i have no previous emplyment experience. I have also managed to apply for 3 jobs: Toys' R Us, walgreens, and Academy. I am a US citizen and I am able to work legally :]
I know that each place is different in terms of emplyment and time, but i'm just a little extra anxious since its my first time trying to get a job. How long should the usual waiting period for them to contact me to tell me whether i got the job or not?

Thanks in advance.

Follow up your application after one or two weeks. You should not rely on those three applications alone. Continue applying until you find the best job.
Good luck!

Peace and every blessing!

For entry level jobs they might tell you during the interview. If you didn't get it they won't contact you except maybe a post card in week or two.
Keep applying for every job or company you want to work for.
The employer will be looking for someone who can and will do a job. You don't have experience so you must show willingness to work. Contract each business you want to work for every week to see if they have a job for you yet. Tell them you really want to work for them. Make sure if you have ever done any work it is on your resume, also anything else that shows you are ambitious like being an Eagle scout or volunteer work. Also make sure your resume is perfect, no wrong words or misspelled words. If someone offers you the worlds worst job take it and say thank you and think how it will look on your resume next time.
