that we can have eclipses? Even though there vastly different in size. Isn't God brill ! Do you think that this perfect blend of male sun energy and female moon energy enables life on this planet? Or am I a lunatic?

baluscher-The Universe is changing all around us. Stars are moving (the Big Dipper won't exist in 100,000 years as its stars are moving in different directions), the sun is rotating around the galactic center, there are supernovae (exploding stars), black holes forming. It is all amazing. Just enjoy it.
awe inspiring isn't it! :-)

I catch what you are saying!

I won't comment on your mental state without an independent psychiatric examination.
However, the sun and moon are an interesting astronomical phenomenon. The moon is slowly moving away from earth so the nice fit you see today won't exist at some point in the future. Will that mean god isn't so clever to you?

Yes, and there are lots of other things that are not a perfect fit. If the moon+sun+earth system didn't work the way it did, then we'd find something else to awe at.
Matter and Motion, working in accordance to mathematically laws, can produce incredible compexity -- on their own.
And why, pray I say, isn't the moon full all the time? Why have the New Moon and plunge us into total darkness? Food for thought.
Peace.
And by the way, even though I disagree with your interpretation, I don't think you're a lunatic.

It's a hard one to prove without being able to stand on the moon and see for yourself, but the laws of physics say that the earth will look slightly bigger from the moon. Chances are any discrepancies you saw were the result of different camera angles or something like that.

Yes it is a cosmic coincidence. However it won't be that way forever. The moon is drifting away from the earth and eventually will not cover the sun.

I wonder if there is some rule of proportional masses involved in stable orbit formation. Interesting question.
The match in apparent sizes is not exact though, and that is part of why we get different types of solar eclipses.

I personally thik the moon looks bigger (when full)
the scary thing is that the moon is leaving orbit, at two inches a year (science channel)

You are a lunatic. That might be the most insane thing I've ever heard. It's called perspective.

They aren't always the same size as observed from earth; look up 'annular eclipse'.
'Lunatic', given its etymology, is a particularly apt description.

It hasn't always been that way, the moon is moving away a couple of inches a year.
I dunno, God, Male / female energies? Sounds like an odd mix to me...trolling?
As for the last question...I didn't say it... ; )
