I was on a website that defines slang. I searched up dodge, and people were defining dodge cars saying it's grandpa technology. it drips oil, and that it breaks down after 50,000 miles.

I was thinking of getting a Dodge Charger. What is your take on Dodge cars, please tell me!

well in my opinion there as good as anything else on the road ,they have always been the under dog when it comes to cars though ,they got a bad rep a long time ago,and have never been able live it down, but truthfully right now the newer ones are lasting a lot better than they used to,and the new cars also have better technology in them also, people are always going to talk about them though, just like fords, they also knock those, there's always someone that wont like a car no matter what it is,its just nature, that's why we have freedom of speech though, so everyone can express their opinion on things, good luck hope this helps.

My family have owned many Dodges over the years, 8 cars and at least 6 pickups...With the exception of a 1977 pickup, they all have ran100,000 to 125,000 miles with little or no problems. My favorite car so far was my 1974 Charger SE, I bought it new and drove it well over 130,000 miles then I had to sell it for a down payment on our first house. I sold it for more than I bought it for new....Buy the Dodge Charger with the 5.7 engine, it has a ton of power, and, if you drive it easy, it will get as good if not better gas mileage than the 3.5 V-6..My Friend has a Chrysler 300 C with the 5.7 V-8 (same engine as the Charger) and she gets 19-24 mpg. Now to get that kind of mileage you'll have to resist the tempation to out run everyone on the road. I too am looking at buying a Charger, I test drove two of them, the R/T and the Daytona, I personally thought the R/T was the best value,,,,I liked the Daytona as well, but I thought it was a little over-priced. Both of the models handled awesome, both were very comfortable, and also looked great. I hope this helped !!!

i love dodge cars, the 2.7's are horrid but everything else is good. about dripping oil, the new V-6's are designed to not leak any oil at all. the only dodge cars to break down after 50,000 miles were ones with the 2.7 V-6. about the transmissions being weak, the early and mid 90's transmissions were bad because when you went to have the fluid replaced, the recommended brand would destroy the transmission, ATF +4 is the only acceptable type to use in a Chrysler vehicle. In my experience, the new transmissions are superb! the 42LE and 42RLE are VERY strong transmissions. dodge is first choice for me! and yes, the charger is an awesome car, just stay clear of the 2.7

ANY car can suck. ANY car can drip oil. ANY car can break down(what ever that means) after 50,000 miles. Remember, a car is a thing. A car just SITS there. A car does NOT take itself to have oil changes and other normal maintenance services. It is the HUMAN BEINGS in this world that suck! If a car owner can't have regular maintenance services done, on a REGULAR basis, then that person does NOT deserve a car. I am so tired of PEOPLE putting down any particular make of vehicle in one stupid sentence. You just can not call all Dodges, Fords Chevy's, Chrysler's, Buick's, Toyota's, Honda's, Kias and all other makes of cars junk heaps or anything else
in one lump. We, the owners of these junkers are the reason they are junk.

Not all the Chevy teams in NASCAR are using the new R07 engine and many still use the old ones. Some are only using it at certain races or for a few cars but not the entire teams. Ford seems to have given up since they havnt touched their engine in a few years and everybody caught and passed them. There are plenty of fast Chevys, Ford, and Dodges at a drag strip. Most have some type of modifcations on them. I think GM makes plenty of reliable cars and track too.

The old Dodges were grandpa technology but they really held up, the new ones are better but I question the transmissions in them but I think the chargers have a new one and the warranty is 100,000 miles, I wouldn't hesitate to get one if I really wanted it.

Chargers are nice. Pretty much nowadays with any new car, just pick a car depending on what you like. You'll get a nice long life out of anything, just take care of it.
