I feel you, man. those other people arent in your situation; they dont know how you feel. it's easy for them to just "move on." sometimes, you just have to try again, even if it's hopeless. otherwise, you'll probably wonder what-if for quite some time. as for the "easy quitters' eh, just blow them off at first and if they are right, you can let them say told-you-so after you've tried to mend the broken relationship.

Yes!!! Read my ? posted the other day. That is the same boat I'm in, specially went the reason you broke up was something small or a lot of very small things. I think when you do break you with sum1, U get 2 sit back an reevaluate the situation w/o all the intense emotion from B4. If they never cheated, or purposely try 2 hurt you Y shud u have 2 give up. Don't they say learn from your mistakes, not start over and do it differently> Good Luck!!

Does dumb in this situation mean insignificant? What do you mean by dumb reason?
But yes, i know what you mean, I've heard that before YEARS ago...it is more common I think among younger adults whose friends just put down the ex and say move on, get over it, etc.
Every situation and person is different, as are our situations, therefore...sometimes getting back together is perfectly okay and normal and things work out great, and other times, that "dumb" reason might be serious enough that it should end all ties to that person.
You need to decide for yourself. Trust your gut instinct, not your "heart"...they are different feelings. Just ignore their advice or ask them to not comment on your personal business and if you want their advice you'll ask for it.

It's not about being "easy quitters", it's about being independent and not revolving your whole life, your whole world around someone who is really not in it for your best interest.
This is a forum on the internet. Nobody here knows the full story, we're only going by what is posted here, we don't know the background or the other person's side of the story, so what do you expect from total strangers.
Most times the answers you get are NOT the answers you want, but if you look closely, it's sometimes always right.

when people tell you to just move on and forget, they are proboly just tired of listening to your problems. If this is not it, maybe they just aren't very good listeners. Plus, it is hard to understand other peoples problems, when you have your own to worry about. Don't take it to seriously. You know what is right in your heart, so do what you want. Plus, we ask advice from people, but when it really comes down to it, we just do what we want to do. so good luck

ya know a true friend will back and encourage you through good and bad. if they are telling you to move on either they are tired of hearing you talk about that person or they are a little on the self centered part.

i am an old lady, so i will tell you as i see it. sometimes the person writing these questions hear only what they want to hear. they are so emotionly involved, that they can't see what is really happening. i am sure some people answer to be mean, but if you are wise enough to listen, you might learn something from the one's who are here to help.

That does happen to me a lot. I have liked this guy for a long time and he likes my bff and people always tell me to forget about him and it's hard when you see him almost everyday.

yeah it's annoying. There is no point in telling someone to move on because they will when they are ready. If you think you have another shot, then give it one more shot.
