There is a story about a little boy who shot his Grandmothers duck with a slingshot and killed the duck. He did not think anyone saw him so he hid the duck behind the wood pile. His sister saw it from the window and that night after supper she said Bobby wants to help with the dishes. Then she leaned over to Bobby and said "I saw the whole thing with the duck." This went on for a week and finally Bobby told Grandma about what had happened. Grandma told him she knew all along but was waiting to see how long he would let his sister torture him like that.
You see it is like that God and Satan. Satan knows our sins and he, like the sister, never lets us forget them, as long as we are willing to allow him to "torture" us with the memories of our past he owns us.
God also knows our sins and like Grandma, HE will forgiven them and is willing to wait for you to come clean. As long as you are letting the devil remind you of what you have done, God is willing to wait for you.
Any secret sins?

Pollyanna; Please let it go for your sake. Your brother has forgiven you God has and I am sure everyone else has.

Brother Stone,
I have done bad things and my pride and arrogance has been my biggest stumbling block. So tonight after I had my Bible reading I confessed my arrogance before God and I have been set free. I have cried a lot of tears to night and God one day will wipe every tear from our eye.
If we are all honest we all have secret sins but the Lord will forgive a rebellious heart. I looked down on people in my life that I thought I was better than they were. God lovingly but firmly showed me they need Gods love too and I also forgave all who has hurt me.
Blessed be the name of the Lord E4G

I Love that analogy!
Yes old sins come back to haunt me often, but I tell Satan where that sin is!! At the Cross of Calvary!!! Praise Jesus!
And Glory to God for His Tearing The Curtain in two, when the sky darkened at Jesus' death.
So now we All can approach Him without having to go through some-one else!
Although sometimes it is very helpful to seek ministerial help with some sins and...in James it says to...' confess your sins to one another', also being accountable can help. ..
I almost did as I shifted house recently. There was a vacuum cleaner, left IN the house and when I arrived there, I fixed it. So I used it for a year. No-one wanted/used it and it will probably go to the tip!
No-one would have known - probably, but God and I would have And I was very tempted to take it with me, but I couldn't.
Temptation is not a sin, as Jesus was tempted.

Before I was reborn, I asked God to forgive me almost everyday for a sin, so large I just knew I would have to repent for the rest of my life. So I begged almost nightly for forgiveness. This went on for 20 years. Then one day I confessed to my pastor, and she said, He forgave you the first time you asked. That just blew me away. We only have to ask once? Wow... what an amazing and forgiving God we have. The burden that I had carried all those years was finally lifted, and I was able to then start ministering to others, instead of carrying around the shame of my sin. Great question!

Yes when I was 7 I broke a glass and got scared that I would get into trouble so I hid it under the back steps. Well my dad found it and knew it was either me or my brother and whipped us until we would tell. My brother took the whipping for me which I soon revealed. I apologize to this day to my brother and that was over 30 years ago. I still feel ashamed even though he has forgiven me.

Yes....My problem is after confessing, like Pollyanna, feeling guilty over it....Satan LOVES to torture us and make slaves out of us for what we've done....I'm learning.....In fact, I have a certain drink I order from Starbucks ALL the time so I know the price....If they charge me less.(they haven't tried to charge me more), I let them know that's not the right price....It may not matter to them, but I'd rather pay the right price than give satan something to hold over my head. And you never know who is watching.

WOW!!!!! You always ask questions that speak directly to my situations. Always!!!! Yes I just messed up big in God's eyes and I have asked His forgiveness but I still feel very badly about what I did. I have been struggling with it all day and then I come on here and see this and wow you always hit the heart of my matters. I can't say what it is I did because that is between me and God but it is sure hard to look at myself in the mirror without feeling disgusted at myself for not having the strength to resist temptation. Thanks for the reality check.

not anymore but, my son did something really bad (broke the window in the car with a temper tantrum when he was about 13) he was so scared to tell his Dad that he begged me to soften him up for him and I thought this is just the thing we do when we pray to Mary. We ask our Mother to soften God up a little for us because we know we have done bad and she does.
