Is there any way to recycle no longer wanted pictures?

Post them on freecycle or craig's list. Some people use them for school projects others to turn into greeting cards.

Have you not thought about sorting the pictures and making collages to give as gifts? They can either be framed or placed into scrapbooks and given as gifts.

they are paper - just toss them in with the paper. If they are historical or really unique see if a local photo gallery or historical center is interested- you could always offer them to friends and family. Good Luck!
