I assume this is a really oblique reference to creationism? If man is created out of the earth, and so are monkeys (who indeed don't care), then the cousinship problem is purely metaphorical.
I'm a convinced Catholic, and resent being lumped with atheists--as I'm sure they resent being lumped with me! Scientific belief is NOT incompatible with religious belief, and the idea that it IS incompatible is the worst effect of fundamentalist Christianity.

Huh? I don't have a problem with dirt, or stuff being made from it. Dirt is cool...especially when it's on the side of a Jeep (means you went off-roading recently).
I'm positive that no man or monkey has been made from dirt, though.

Yeah! Some men act like dirt, and it's mixed with fecal matter too. At least the ones I have dated so far. As far as your questions goes we are a carbon based life form.

i guess the main question is who are you gonna believe God or man? Atheists want to believe there is no God so they deny this fact. They have a problem with the truth of the Bible because look at what the rest of The Bible teaches that people are desperate sinners on their way to hell so they are just trying to convince themselves that their is no God.

Dirt is mostly silicon, i.e. sand. Monkeys and man are mostly carbon.
