I was stopped in Miami because they thought that I was a currency smuggler. They were waiting for a currency smuggling ring to enter through the airport and all agency's were there. Customs, Treasury Department, DEA, FBI, State and local guys. It was a real scene. They took me to the main office for Questioning. I saw them arrest 7 different people in about 4 hours. They checked my story and ran my record. In the time that they were doing this the Head of Customs had to be standing out in front of the office coordinating the various agency's. A lot of dead time between arrests. We started pitching coins and due to a great 10 franc piece from Martinique I ended up winning almost $23 bucks from the guy. They finally cleared me but it was indeed and interesting evening.
Susan, Did you inform the police that the man had hustled you as well and help her out by letting them know she was used? The poor woman's probably in jail some place and you might be the only one that actually knows what happened!

True story....I'd gone to visit family in Connecticut and while up there I remembered I really missed a particular brand of Kielbasa that was sold there. I had brought a 'thermal bag' and put that in a freezer, along with six kielbasas which I'd wrapped in aluminum foil. On the day my flight left to head home, I put the kielbasas in the thermal bag, and that in my carry-on bag. I didn't think anything of this until I put the bag on the conveyor belt at the security check-in line. The crew there took me aside, and strongly asked me about the contents of the bag. I started chuckling, because it was then that I realized that the wrapped kielbasas must've looked very much like thick sticks of explosives. Needless to say, I unwrapped the contents, and at that point even the security crew started laughing with me too.

I was in England, on my way to Greece and a gorgeous Man with the most dreamy eyes sat down beside me, while I was waiting for my flight. We shared small talk and he seemed so polite. Then he asked me to help him and he said that he just knew, that I was the one to help him, that I had a kind face.
He asked me to take a package with me for his sister who lives in Greece. I said NO! and I got up and moved. I saw him talking to another woman and when we arrived in Greece, the Police arrested her. I was very upset and greatful that my Aunt, that lives in Greece told me about this.
When you are inside the Airport, MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS and DO NOT TALK TO ANYONE.
You never know who they might be.

Being followed into the restroom and closely observed by some security person because I was obviously upset and he thought I must be a terrorist. I was upset because I had been to a funeral.

I was flying back to Atlanta from London and sat next to Sinead O'Connor and her son (about 14 at the time). It was hot as h3ll and in the middle of August in Atlanta. He was wearing a sweatshirt, thick coat and a stocking cap. I did not say word one to them the entire flight, but as we were heading to customs, I just had to ask him, "Aren't you hot?"
She starts screaming at me to "LEAVE US ALONE!" and swearing all kind of words. Then she spits at me! I was wearing a suit and carrying a laptop bag. Hardly a picture of a rock star stalker. I just laughed and left her alone as asked.
She did not burn a picture of the Pope at least...
