Do people prefer going out with someone of the same race? I mean, I'm hispanic, and I have a crush on this really cute Mexican (and of course that means he's also hispanic). So is it normal to be more attracted to someone of the same race?

It is only natural to find yourself attracted to people of your own race/religion - as you already share many common interests and beliefs. But at the same time, it is the differences that make someone of a different nationality/culture so much more appealing...
Basically, there are NO rules when it comes to attraction - you either are, or you're not - attracted to someone ;);)

It would depend on how you were raised, whether you are
only attracted to your own race. And I think most parents try
to gear their children toward staying within their own culture.
But many don't as you know. Today there are more inter- racial couples in society than ever before. It's those who plan to marry a person from another race, that they can find a few
bumps in the road for acceptance by society tho. Or even in
ones' own family.
I would think being with a boy of your same race would have
more benefits than if you dated one from another race. Just
based on the fact you'd have more in common, with the same
similar beliefs, customs and maybe even goals in life. There
is really no 'normal' way of finding someone you care for.
Everyone is different, just like we all look different. We're
often attracted to ones' face, but finding things you have in
common with likes and dislikes will cause a bond between
you, and after looks fade, with an old couple, what remains
in their hearts and souls is what will continue to bind them.

Yes, it's normal to be attracted to a man/woman of the same race. Many people are attracted to differant races though, and there's nothing wrong with that.

I think they did a study on this and found that people in general are more attracted to people of the same race or ethnicity.
Of course, there are always exceptions to the rule, but i think that this is generally very true.
I am of Filipino decent and find myself mostly attracted to girls of Asian heritage. Not to say, i haven't found some Hispanic and Caucasian females to be very attractive, but overall, i have definitely had more Asian girlfriends than i have of any other race.

I think the DNA in our genetics programs us to be attracted to others of our own race primarily. However, not always the case. I have an Asian friend who was adopted, and his family and all relatives are white. He finds himself ONLY attracted to white girls, and NOT attracted to Asian girls at all. So in this case, his environment over-ruled his inherent drives.
I think the more we are exposed to other races, and get to know the person inside, the more likely we will find ourselves attracted to that race.

It's not a matter of it being 'more normal'. People of the same sort just naturally tend to be attracted to each other in general. It's what one is used to, and what one just naturally prefers. Instead of 'normal', say 'commonplace'. And as always it's all just a matter of personal preference. And remember... birds of a feather, flock together :-)

yes. there is nothing wrong with going out with someone that is out of your race, but u actually should and it's better to stay within the same race. by saying this, it's NOT racist. a lot of people think that there are so many racist comments these days, but they are such airheads.

I definitely have korean buddy who like females with snow white dermis( beacause they stated that seem harmless and organic), some like huge eyes with double eyelid some want the tipical korean eyes without eyelid like wondergirls Sohee or Kim yuna. no longer too tall so as that they might hug you the face on their chest and small and narrow face.
