I had one on Sat. and the pain's still there.

The pain's only there when I grind my teeth/apply pressure to the tooth, though..

HELLO,
THERE CAN BE SOME LINGERING PAIN AFTER THE ROOT CANAL IF THE TEMPORARY FILLING INTERFERES WHEN YOU BITE DOWN.
BUT THE NERVE IS GONE, WHY DOES IT HURT?
THE REASON IS THAT THE PERIODONTAL LIGAMENT HAS NERVES AROUND IT THAT ARE ABLE TO SENSE PRESSURE. THE ROOT CANAL DOES NOT STOP THESE NERVES FROM SENSING PRESSURE.
IF YOU TELL YOUR DENTIST THE FILLING FEELS HIGH AND IF THE DENTIST ADJUSTS THIS, YOU WILL FEEL BETTER SOON.

After a root canal it is not usual to have pain. Why would you purposely grind your teeth or put pressure on it shortly after a procedure?
Call your dentist.

Today is Monday-- the pain should be gone----call the dentist that did the root canal now and tell him what you are experiencing--you may have what's called "dry socket"--which happens if you drink from a straw after having the procedure--please call ASAP

You may be suffering from other problems. The toothache should be gone by now. Call your dentist.
