The light is Jesus. I let my light shine by letting the love of Jesus flow through me and when people interact with me they see that I respect all, I'm patient, long suffering and kind...Fruits of The Spirit...the Spirit of Jesus Christ in me.

Me and a guy at work was talking about this verse the other day. I told Him sometimes it seems that everything I tell people at work does not do any good. He told me this verse Matt 5:13. He said that my actions speak to everyone and If I were to go get drunk with everyone else, this would really have a big effect on what they thought about Jesus. He said what I tell them has so much more meaning if my actions follow. This is a very encouraging verse. Thanks
Just a thought can people know what you believe if you don't tell them?
May God Bless You when you read this. May you be flooded with joy.

1. I hope so
2. The fruits of the Spirit.
3. The closer one follows Christ the more attractive in a "magnetic" way one becomes. Like the way that you can tell someone is a Christian in their actions and character.

Since Jesus was speaking, as usual, in parables, the 'light' he is referring to are the acts of mankind, since, like the lamp, producing 'light' is what defines what it is.

Therefore, for someone to see a working 'lamp', and take pleasure and/or comfort in it, is not only to praise the lamp but the craftsman who made it. In so far as I give knowledge to others, so too must the knowledge I give reflect not only upon me but upon the 'father' of existence, for it is from such that I received my knowledge.
