Laugh, laugh, laugh.
I tell my kids to always find the humor in life, because it's always there. It keeps you forever young and happy.

I dont know whats wrong with me tonight. I just cant think "funny". Seriously, the best advice I have for anyone who is a student is to take some classes that will teach you how to think. College is NOT about getting a job. Its about making you a well rounded human being. The job will come.

1. Don't ever invade Russia in the winter.
2. Don't get involved in a land war in Asia.
3. Don't pick a fight with a Portagee out in the ocean.
On a more serious note,
Remember you and others live by three parts in life, develop all three, and you will stay balanced:
1. Head (knowledge, logic, reason, intellect)
2. Heart (hope, love, faith, trust)
3. Hands (works, helps, creations, fun)

I don't usually give advice in one-liners :) But I often ask my kids to put their problems into perspective. When they complain that they can't beat a certain game, or they have to brush teeth, etc., I ask that before they rant and rave and pull out hair, they reflect on the larger problems of the world and to ask themselves "is this one of them?".
It drives them nuts LOL. They say "Aww Mom, you always say that!".. but it usually helps to diffuse the situation.

To be like the Beroeans were with the apostles in their midst. Acts 17:11 they "with greatest eagerness of mind examined the scriptures to see whether the things they were told were true." Trust but verify.

Love one another.
Except of course that weird guy on the corner who cuts the lawn in a tutu and wears Easter hats on the 4th of July.
(j/k btw)

If you plan to ride out a hurricane, be sure to buy plenty of water and food that doesn't need to be cooked. Also have flashlights, batteries, and a radio on hand, and lots of bleach.

Find your inner self, through whatever medium you are comfortable with. Knowing who you really are will give you an appreciation of where others are coming from.

That the phrase "do unto others as you would have them do unto you" is probably the best thing to consider before you do or say ANYTHING.
Peace be with you :)
