Moi. Was a Christian, now an atheist.
For the sake of clarity... I didn't make decisions based on Q&A here... I made them based on my own research, reading, and thinking. It happened "since becoming a member" here... but this site was just the intiator, the thing that made me start thinking about my former religion in a new way.

No way. I am perfecty satisfied and comfortable with my savior. I'm a Christian. Being a Christian means that you have accepted Jesus as God's Son and your personal savior, you are filled with the Holy Spirit. Once filled, and always there. However, anyone can go through the motions and call themselves a Christian and one day say, "I was once a Christian, but it's so bogus, so I changed my mind, now I'm an atheist." Lot's of people do that when it comes to "religion". That's why Jesus said of the religious crowd, They are like white washed sepulchers, but filled with dead men's bones. They are pretty on the outside, but dead on the inside. Jesus is all that matters. Not religion.

This section's content doesn't convert people. Especially the arguments put up against Christianity. Probably say the same going the other way too. Now I do find it interesting that of the answers given so far, the people who claim to have converted, are all atheists. Integrity and honesty doesn't seem to be a trait they possess. I am a Christian and no argument or criticism so far has convinced me to change.

I have taken to calling myself a 'cultural christian'. I like the liturgy and community of my church, and I believe there is a common element in all of us which I am comfortable calling God. I came with the belief that all paths lead to the top of the mountain, and I still have that.

I haven't but do think one would have to be totally mindless to convert to anything from the Internet, this site or any other site.
