how did you get to age 19 in one day?
it will crush you... internal bleeding, possibly bursting into flames, suffocating/burning you to death...
or just the force of hitting the ground if you fly out the windshield.
do this... smash your head against a wall, then do it 600000 times harder, thats what hitting a tree is like.

The reason you will die is usually caused by something called blunt force trauma .
Your body encounters a blunt object like the steering wheel and the force of hitting that wheel results in your internal organs being damaged and bleeding internally
Newtons Second Law of Motion F-ma basically says that how hard you ultimately hit something is determined by how big the vehicle is and how fast you are driving it.
Now for the insidious part:
Your brain does something that you almost can't control ; It forces you to steer into what your eyes are focusing on.
This is why people hit trees and light poles dead center rather than to one side or the other.
So if you're ever doing a high speed left lane pass of a semi in the rain , DO NOT STARE AT THE SEMI' !!!

I know about this one, as I have FIRST HAND EXPERIENCE.
When I was seventeen, on July 2, 1990, luckily I had dropped both Mary Toepper, and Mary Schembari off at their respective homes. I guess I was rather drunk, over twice the legal limit for my state. I passed out and struck a tree at 226 Murphy, in Romeoville, Illinois. The answer is NEVER drive while drinking, even a little, because one drink usually leads to another, and so on. My license has been taken away, quite possibly permanently. I am not dead, but might as well be.
- DO NOT DRINK and DRIVE.- As long as you remain SOBER, you should be just fine. Normally, there is nothing to worry about. Calm Down. Relax. Chill out. Take Care of Yourself. You should be just fine, above all, don't worry yourself to death. The only reason I hit a tree, is I was drunk.
PLEASE REMAIN SOBER WHILE DRIVING. Calm Down, Relax. - Driving is a Privilege, and should be treated as such.

You just got your DL and you are 19?? I see why after reading this! A tree will not move, and the Kinetic energy, spelled out ,your organs and brain still doing 70mph when you hit the tree, are still travelling at 70mph after impact. They strike the rib cage, spine, and brains hit the skull, then all the good thing happen. Like the rest of the car,its contents are still doing 70 mph and hit you! Then the hot fluids flow, the gas tank may ignite, and your day is over!

I'm sure you will be fine just follow the rules always wear your set belt .don't go over the speeding limit and never drink and drive .if you take your friends out for a drive don't try to show off and drive to fast.if your car hit a tree the force may eject you from the care or your head can hit the front window but if you follow the safety rules you will be o.k

You gotta watch them trees...they just jump onto the road.
It depends on the size of the tree and the speed you are going and the vehicle you are driving.
My brother drove his pickup (straight 6 engine) into a tree. The tree went down the passenger side of the engine to the transmission.(into the cab). Had it been the drivers side....he would have been DOA. As it was he walked away, vehicle totalled. Tree is still standing big as a telephone pole...waiting for him to come by again.

if you wear your seat belt you should be fine at lower speeds but at high speeds a tree can rip your car in half, if you dont wear your seat belt u may be ejected from the car which you usually never walk away from unscaved u would most likely get some broken bones a concusion or die. it all depends on the speed your goin and the size of the tree. hope this helped and try to stay away from wooded areas if your afraid of trees.

EXAMPLE: IF YOU WERE DRIVING AND HIT A TREE AT 50 MPH THEN THE IMPACT WOULD BE 100 MPH.
DOUBLE THE MPH BY THE SPEED YOU ARE DRIVING WHEN YOU HIT THE TREE.
HOPEFULLY THE AIRBAG WILL SAVE YOU IF YOU ARE LUCKY.

Maybe the passengers airbag didnt deploy or a low lying branch on the tree went through the windsheild and instantly killed the passenger. Just a couple ideas :D.
