Chances are, the clothes will be outdated by then. You would be smarter to donate the clothes to a charity, or pass them along to a friend who can use them. I have 5 children, and have saved one special outfit for each, but just for sentimental reasons, not to give to their kids.

My mum kept a select few for sentimental reasons... my son is currently wearing a custom made beanie i had when i was a toddler! LOL! I will be keeping a FEW of the more expensive 'good' outfits but not many, I don't have the space to store them. The outfit my son came home from the hospital in is framed on the wall and i will be doing the same for the rest of our children. The elastic doesn't 'survive' long enough for a lot of the clothes to be held onto for that long too...

I save a few things here and there for sentimental reasons, but I don't save things because I hope my grandchildren will one day wear them. I don't know of anyone who saves their children's clothes in hopes of their grandchildren one day wearing them. I saved my son's cap and shirt that they gave him the day he was born, his first outfit, and the outfit that he wore on the way home. I also have his first pair of shoes, and a few other things. I keep those items for the memories that they hold. My children will hopefully have children of their own and will be able to do the same for their children. :)

Nope. I thank God that my parents didn't save my old clothes! LOL. Style changes so much over twenty years. I still have a few outfits from when I was really little but other then that I'm happy my parents didn't save all of my clothes!
I have kept a few outfits of my son's that I loved. I don't expect my grandchildren to wear them though! More or less they are just there for me to reminisce.

No, why would you. Clothing goes in and out of style. A can see a parent saving the first pair of shoes or a christining dress, but anything else just seems like wasted space.
Are you really going to clothe your child in something that is a least 25 years old.

I've kept a lot of my daughter's clothes and I'd LOVE to see my grandchild wear them, even if it's just long enough to take a picture. My mom kept a few clothes from my sisters and I, but she didn't offer to let my daughter wear them. :( I do have a knit bonnet that was mine as a baby. A teddy bear wore it for years, then my daughter wore it. It looked so funny and cute.

No. I wouldnt put such outdated clothes on my kids... My grandpa did keep a pair of flip-flops from when I was an infant and gave them to me after my grandma passed and I have shown them to my kids and told them the history but I didnt want them for my baby.

no. it makes no sense to store clothes for 20+ yrs. I have a few outfits that my mom saved for sentimental reasons, but they are in a memory box.
