and suddenly started to cry and started shaking and eventually fell back onto the floor. I don't think I have experienced this before because I've only been saved for about 2 1/2 months. Was this the holy spirit making me shake?

I can't believe no one gave you a solid answer on this. YES IT WAS THE HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD. For what reason only God knows and I believe that He will tell you why not I nor anyone else on this forum. I must ask though have you been baptized in the Holy Spirit with the initial physical evidence being the speaking in tongues not learned? Or in layman's terms have you felt the Holy Spirit come over you to the point that you worshiped Christ in a tongue not your own (whether heavenly or earthly...I have seen both)? Also what denomination do you belong to if you don't mind me asking? But what you experienced is definitely of God and I would encourage you to seek the face of the Lord and ask Him what He wants to come from this experience. Please feel free to email me with questions or concerns.

To what End??? So why do U think the H.S. would do this to U??? Does this happen a lot at Ur church, the "Getting of the Ghost"??? I personally have a Very Hard time with the so called "Holy Rollers & Shakers" who practice this as a "form of worship" that purports to bring a "Message" from God as also the "Tongues Group " do. God has given Us Scripture that Clearly states that no one should Add to or Subtract from His Word in Revelation!!! Ask Urself, why God would only visit "Special People" in any church & Not the Whole World??? Get Urself checked out physically & then Spiritually discern what is going on in church. John

Why are you asking that type of question here? please don't take me wrong. I believe especially because your a new believer that you need to be asking and taught by other more mature believers in your life and Church. They are actually accountable to you and will pray, edify and encourage you. Asking that here will definitely open the door for mocking disbelief and misunderstanding of what truly happened, that was the holy spirit and i emphasize the word HOLY keep it in that place, so you can grow.

great question --this is the human response to a great momentous wonderful thing that we are recalling at that time and we sort of re-live it and we imaginatively think about future happiness and joy and we get turned on by this great feeling and we make it into a loop --getting higher and more in love with our Savior who gave us such a great gift

I have had the opposite happen also -Meditating on the cross --the tree where we died with him --the tree of life --the tree of the knowledge of good and evil --the seeds that die to become trees slowly --the branches that were discarded --the branches that will be grafted back on --and then the loop started and I started to weep -tears ran down my face --like now because of the part the tree (cross ) plays --and I even identified with the killer tree cause of all my sins --He had to die --loop --loop
Very emotional
another time -the 1st I believe I was alternately happy --very happy ---then sad very sad cause of what He has done

Some people lose control and yell or make a spectacle of themselves -this is not good (too much pride )-speaking out in gibberish that no-one can understand

The only people that fall back in the bible are enemies of Christ but that's the modern way (cause everybody does it ) --Biblicly they fell prostrate forward worshipping and praising

Be even more Blessed --see my other answers

Shalom
Jon

Something definitely came over you.
Maybe the answer will show up in some way.
Can you think of a possible reason?
Feel blessed that you experienced something so out of the ordinary.
Bless you.

I've seen that happen before. While I've never experienced it, my wife has. I think it was a very true experience you had. Consult w/ God what it ment. He will give you the interpetation.

(Often He does things like that to get your attention...find out what it is He wants of you).

I believe so yes.....I would think you were slain in the Spirit if you were passed out....or just simply touched by him. Either way, it was probably the Holy Spirit.

What you experienced is called resonance. You were experiencing some of the emotions of those around you.

I would say more, but very few would understand.
