I was offered a job online to be an A/P Specialist. Just wanted to know exactly what it is?

That would be Accounts Payable. An accounts payable person pays the bills. You get an invoice and put it into the computer. Then you wait until the due date and then run checks and mail the check. It is a fun and simple accounting job. You will love it.

An AP specialist is usually a little bit higher than an AP clerk.

Here is the job description I use.
Reviews invoices for accuracy and completeness. Sorts documents by account name or number and processes invoices for payment. May perform other basic clerical duties associated with accounts payable. May post transactions to journals, ledgers and other records. Requires understanding of bookkeeping procedures and 1-2 years of relevant experience

If you were offered this job without any interviews or qualifications I would advance with caution.
