are you a better person for your beliefs ? I am a much calmer more rational person since admitting to myself that I was only going through the motions rather than really believing in a deity.. Lying takes energy and causes stress..

do you feel superior or inferior to others because of what you believe ?

Neither, I am just me take it or leave it..

or do you feel your beliefs are restraining you, from realizing the full potential of what life offers...

No finally admitting my beliefs has set me free, falsely professing belief in a dogma and deity were what was restraining me.

I'm an atheist, and I do feel that I'm a better person for my beliefs (or rather, lack of beliefs). I feel that I'm able to view the world without "rose colored glasses". I feel that I'm able to take responsibility for my life into my own hands, and that makes me a more realistic and capable person.

No, I don't feel superior or inferior to anyone. To each his own...

No, I don't feel my beliefs are restraining me. I actually feel they are freeing me :)

I'm not better nor worse, I just am. I'm not superior or inferior, I am a member of the human race and in my eyes equal to the person standing next to me.

My beliefs are part of me, I do not put them on like a coat when I'm cold; they are always with me and an integral part of who I am. I try to live every day to its fullest and in that I will have a wonderful life.

a much better person, actually. I don't feel inferior or superior to other ppl... sometimes i'm treated like it tho(both inferior and superior). Nothing is restraining me, i'm doing everything i've ever wanted to do and only time will tell where my potential takes me (i'm only 20)... and i've got alot of potential.

My beliefs keep me at peace and detached from things that might bother me otherwise.

My beliefs do not make me superior or inferior to others. I believe all is one ... we are all cut from the same cloth.

My beliefs do not restrain me .. rather they have helped me immensely in realizing all that life offers.

I don't have a belief and at the same time I believe in the possibility of everything.

I don't consider others, what others are there others. I neither feel superior or inferior.

I do believe I'm alive so no it's not holding me back from life.

I believe everyone has the right to choose what they believe. I respect everyone choice.I do not feel superior to anyone. By the way, I'm watching wife swap and am noticing the atheists are not very open-minded. I believe you can learn about other religions and beliefs without compromising your own.

Christian Faith is given freely. How then can we be restrained? Christ invited people to faith and conversion. But He never coerced them.

I cant speak for others, but I believe it makes me a better person.

I am neither superior or inferior to others based on my beliefs.

i have not had a chance to look at other posts so i'm not aware of what they have said, but to answer the question.

men and women of integrity, regardless of a belief in God, can be strong moral pillars of society, swaying the society for good or evil, depending on their life style.

a person is not better than because they believe in God, and to posulate such a position is dangerous. You are not better because you believe in God..Those are Christs words, not mine.

If in fact someone feels better because they have a faith in God, they are not esteemed by God, (those are the words of Jesus Christ, not me.) A person who believes in Christ should be humble so as to win as many as possible to Christ by the humility they live with.

Doctrine, (that is teaching) should restrain you. When I in Iraq, I really wanted to shoot a few folks who needed it. But that is wrong. So yes, it is a good to be restrained.

A full potiencial of ones life, be them a believer in God or not, is not a measure of them as a man or woman.

The only difference between a person who believe isnGod and one who does not, is whether they also believe Jesus is God. I do. Hense I did not shoot some who needed to be shot.

(yes, my chain of command knows this, I discussed it at length with them)

better.
but as far as the feeling of being superior? been their and done that.
The fact is, is that everyone deserves a fair chance to be their best, and in my opinion, they should be allowed to grow and blossom. Yet the world today does not really provide a very good environment in which to allow people the time to find what they are good at. Unfortunately, the school systems' with their grades and grading, benefit some yet stifle others.
School should be adjusted to allow for the vast differences of our humanity, and allow the time and skill to foster hope and desire too be our best.
