Jim C,
(1Corinthians 2:15) But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.
Perhaps YOU... May NOT KNOW....... THE JESUS OF THE BIBLE?
AND....... Perhaps.... YOU..... DON'T KNOW THE WORD...... EITHER?
(Jude 1:3-4) Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
(Jud 1:4) For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.
AND.......\
(2Timothy 3:1-to-7) This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
(2Ti 3:2) For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
(2Ti 3:3) Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
(2Ti 3:4) Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
(2Ti 3:5) Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
(2Ti 3:6) For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
(2Ti 3:7) Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
AND.......
(1John 4:1) Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
AND...... Do I need to GO ON?
Thanks, RR

I agree with both sides hear too an extent, we must go out and preach Gods word, thats what god tells us to do, i like to explain it like dis,
imagine seeing your family walking to the edge of a cliff with blindfolds on, what would you do? you would run up to dem and tell dem to stop, too turn around, to take their blindfolds off and see the error of their path
But in the same way we must show respect to all people as God loves them also. That doesn't mean going to mosques and checking their stuff out, or agreeing with any other beliefs, it just means not starting wars anout it unless absolutely nessicary (spelt rong, wateva), not walking round telling them all they will burn in hell.
as for the Jonah statement made earlier, Jonah actually didn't go because he was scared. Because he didn't go God made a whale swallow him. God made the whale swallow him so he would be punished and see he should have went and so he would go.
Saying 'just let them burn in hell' is the most un-christian thing i've ever heard. The bible says be like christ, the chosen, he died so we would live, he sacrificed his life so we could have life eternally, so whats a few minutes to sacrifice to preach to someone. Do not be silent in God, but tell the world that Jesus lives
We should spread the word, but only move when the spirit tells you to.
Hope I've helped

Well, for one thing, the idea of "forceing someone else to believe in Christ" is SEVERLY thrown around. Nowadays it could include anything from expressing that you disagree with views of others (peacefully) to mentioning the name Jesus in school.
And, I think you have a skewed view of Jesus. Jesus was not the peaceful hippy that he's presented. I don't think the word "tolerance" ever came out of his mouth. What did come out of his mouth was calling the Pharasees "whitewashed tombs". In fact, its partially because that we need to love our enemies that we will try to share our faith. Like Jonah, it would sometimes be easier to think "Man, I hope those guys go to hell", than to try to show them the way.
Edit: Mark, maybe you could say some stuff to explain your uses of those verses. The meaning of your post is lost on me.

So ....like how do U get around Christ saying: Matt. 10:34 "Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.
37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.
39 He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it." John

Jesus said I leave you the Holy Spirit ( Holy Ghost) to guide you. How many listen to that Spirit, he is still here today listen all ye who have ears. Peace is here for all who seek it as is Christ's forgiveness.

Agreed, and Jesus also said that God choses who will believe in him, not us. Perhaps they are thinking that they are offering others the awareness of Gods love, but isn't that the definition of a Pimp too?

Where did you get your information??? 'Know your source? List it here!' Jesus specifically directed us to bring the Word to everyone. As Bananaboat quoted:
And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation."

Just to let you know, God told US to go out into the world and PREACH TO THE NATIONS. THAT MEANS TO TRY TO GET OTHER PEOPLE SAVED. YOU are the only FAKE Christian around here.

I think they do it because they think their God will love them more and consider them better Christians and they will get to sit at a better place in heaven.
I am a pagan. I respect your statement very much about living in peace and tolerance. If we could see past the differences and appreciate the good things in each others' beliefs, I think we wouldn't fight nearly so much.
Blessings to you and yours!
