First, write down a balanced menu for each day of the week. You can find great dieting menus in women's magazines, and kind of mix 'n' match to fit your budget and what you've got in the fridge. Allow yourself two snacks (if you need them!) but make sure they are healthy, nutritious and under 200 calories.

Then, find a 15-minute-a-day toning program -- again, many women's magazines carry these. You might choose two or three, and work on upper body M, W and Friday, and lower body on Tu, Thu and Saturday (Sunday is free). This won't help you lose weight, but it will tone your body so your clothes will fit much more nicely.

Take a 10-minute walk after lunch every day.

Do a 1-hour aerobic workout twice a week.

On at least one of the weekend days, plan an outdoor activity that will keep you busy for two or three hours -- biking, walking, swimming, hiking. Lawnmowing or digging in the garden would also work. See if you can get some friends to do it too. If you swim, make sure you get at least 90 minutes of *real* swimming in -- not just jumping off the diving boards and sitting by the pool. Break it up into 15 minutes of work, 15 minutes of fun, and you'll have a good time.

This is a healthy way to lose 10 pounds -- if you are really out of shape, you may not see much difference on the scale, because your fat will be turning to muscle, and muscle is heavier than fat. But, the muscle is more compact, so if you stay the same weight, you will still be slimmer and your clothes will be looser. Give it time, though, and those 10 pounds will be gone!

If you are 122 lbs what is your heighth? Sounds like you may be wanting something that is unhealthy. If your over 5 foot this a good weight. Maybe youd feel better just toneing it up- I am 5'5 1/2" and weigh 125 and this is a good weight for me. I would like to be more tone-but, that comes with hard work. My work out right now is a full time job and mother of three and wife-wish I had time to exercise-If I wanted to bad enough-I would find time though... anyway, If you are not as tall as 5 foot-and want to loose weight try the no carb/protein diet for a week or two-then when you get those unwanted pound off use portion control and eat healthy, that will do it. If you are over 5 foot-RELAX-I'm sure you look good girl.

Try this...Drink at least 90 oz. of water a day. Drink a glass before each meal and snacks. The water causes you to eat less and after a little while you will get rid of the water weight getting rid of the fat. I did this one summer and got from 160 lb to 145 and ive been at that weight for almost 2 years now.

I'm basically trying to the same thing.... I need to lose as close to ten lbs in ten days as possible. I'm going to try water fasting and eating organic apples only. I think if you drink tons of water you will feel full an that will help.

don't eat anything except fresh fruits and vegetables, prepared as simply as possible.
Lotsa water too.
