In His book He writes: "...for she hath rebelled against God..and their infants shall be dashed in pieces and their women with child shall be ripped up."
Hosea 13:16 KJV
It seems he wants unborn babies killed when someone makes Him mad...not to save the life of a good mother.

A few people have reminded me that God had His only son tortured and murdered on the cross so we wouldn't need to live by those Old testament rules any more.
Couldn't He have found a nicer way the change His own rules?

The Bible shows that God does NOT consider human life to be precious. He kills OVER 2 million people, including babies, and that isn't counting fetuses or the number of men, women, children, and fetuses killed during the Flood or the Slaughter of the Firstborns, when we are not told how many people he killed.
The Bible clearly shows that God approves of abortion, and in many cases commands it:
The Bible approves of killing pregnant women: Genesis 38:24, Numbers 31:17
The Bible approves of abortion: 2 Kings 15:16
God approves of abortion: Hosea 13:15-16
People are not counted as persons until they are a month old: Numbers 3:15
The Bible contains directions on how to abort any pregnancy caused by adultery: Numbers 5:12-31
The Bible says that being aborted is better than living a bad life: Ecclesiastes 6:3-5, Matthew 26:24
The Bible says that a person becomes a living soul when he BREATHES the BREATH of life into his nostril (fetuses don't breathe): Genesis 2:7

God was warning people what would happen because of their actions. He wasn't saying He wanted it. Context is important here just like everything else. For example I could pull out the phrase "...to become the executioner of their friends and Brethern..." (line 31) from the Declaration of Independence and declare it means the American people should kill their friends and family. Is that what it really says? You'd have to read the whole sentence to find out wouldn't you.

There are several instances of that sort of thing - and let's not forget God's famous mass infanticides - of the Hebrew firstborn under Pharaoh, the Egyptian firstborn at the sword of His own Angel of Death, the Judean firstborn under Herod, etc etc.

Wasn't Hosea a swell chap, now? Do you think he was a closet abortionist? Or am I pointing at the wrong perp?

she means the nation, not a woman specifically; plus it says "and their infants" which doesnt imply God "wants" them dead or causes them to die, but just knows that is what will happen...lots of things happen in the world that God gets sad about but he still knows they will happen..

If you were a Christian, you would know that we don't live under the old testament.
