I just stapled my finger but I didnt actually "staple"it if you know what I mean... the staple just poked it and went into my skin then it started bleeding.

The microorganisms that cause tetanus are anaerobic, which means they can only grow and thrive in the absence of oxygen. A stapler is exposed to a lot of oxygen, therefore, you probably don't need a tetanus shot. However, you should get updates on the shot every 10 years or so.

If you have had a booster within 10 years you are OK.

I personally would not worry about a staple.

just peroxide it or germ x it and it should be okay.
U need a tetanus shot at least every 5-10 yrs.

You should always be protected from tetanus.

no, tetanus shots are for when you get cut with something rusted.
