So, we should put them on trial, give them a sentence, then pay for his housing and food? Why not put him on trial, then send him to Mexico to make him serve his time there.

We can't do it. Liberals and specifically the ACLU have seen to it that illegal immigrants have been granted the same rights to a court as citizens, therefore placing them in this wonderful situation where the local courts don't want to pay for putting all these illegals in jail (which is really the feds responsibility). A hit and run is a state law and the federal gov't has to deport them. And none of our politicians in Washington actually want to deport all those potential voters.

First we are by no potential going to have mass deportations, so as that's in simple terms a thank you to muddy the waters. If super numbers of illegals desperate to self deport, filling the hollow would not be a issue, human beings worldwide could pay to come again to the rustic, so after a jiffy of disarray, shall we technique those we deemed needed for the jobs that we choose. it can be a singular thought for us to made the alternative based on what's sweet for this ourselves instead of the illegals making that determination for us

No, all criminals should get a trial and if found guilty they should serve their full term in prison. After they serve their time they should be deported.

If they have no material way of paying for the damage they do why pay for their food etc by throwing them in jail. They have a record so they are printed and in the system and will never get in again. I say boot them and anyone related to them.

I think if they have hurt someone they need to stand trial for their crime, then be deported. I don't think they should get off with deportation alone.

I say that if they are involved in such a crime they should have more punishment than simply deporting. Remember that kid who got "caned" in another country. I think caning and THEN deporting would be better. At least they would not likely beat the INS back home!

He will be tried as far as the public defenders budget will take it.
I hate to sound so darn cynical, but events of the last several years have made me that way

I would say "yes", as long as the Prosecutor has a means to apply to have them held here while serving a sentence.
