I see many Christians now like to blame atheist Americans for the crimes of men like Joseph Stalin, Pol Pot, and Mao Zedong. They claim that atheism leads to communism and ultimatly atrocities. This may have been true a long time ago, but in modern times, atheism seems to equate with peace. Take Sweden for example. 90% of Swedish people are either atheist or agnostic. Church attendance in Sweden is about 20%. Swedish people score higher in both science and math than Americans do. They have a much smaller crime rate than Americans, except theft. Personally, I would prefer theifs over murderers. In Britian, 40% of people are atheist or agnostic. They also score higher in math and science and have a lower crime rate than America. I don't think the numbers support your claims Christians.......

The important part is none of these men killed in the name of atheism. Besides that, people don't understand that morals and religion are seperate and this idea was proposed in the 1600's and they are just catching up now.

I nor have any Christian I've ever known have said that athiests cause destruction. And I don't think the fact that Stalin or Zedong or any of those people were athiest matters to me. And I'm very good in both math and science.

The bottom line is that there have been some harmful totalitarian ideologies in history, some theistic and some non-theistic. But to claim that atheism leads to support of non-theistic totalitarianism is no more valid than claiming theism leads to wanting to bring back the inquisition.

While I cannot ever agree that atheism promotes violence, I do not feel you are building an actual argument. I believe your facts are off with regards to Sweden's religious views, and even then I could not comprehend a truly scientific study to correlate intelligence with religious views. At this point you compared apples to oranges and kinda shot yourself in the foot on a different point. I would encourage you to stick to the points about the prevalence of violence within different ideologies.
Also, making accusations and pointing fingers never seems to resolve arguments.

The vast majority of those who follow Christ don't commit atrocities, but that doesn't stop people from blaming religious folks for war, etc.
So, honestly, as long as your consistent and judge Christians as individuals, I don't have a problem with your position. Well said!

Christians commit most of the atrocities under the excuse that God either ordered them done, or condoned them as a necessary evil - or both.
Atheists are under the impression that any atrocities seemed essentially like a good idea at the time.

Communism is an ideology. Atheism is merely a lack of belief in dieties. It's a shame people can't tell the difference. Ignorance clearly abounds.

Communism is atheistic. between the well-known training that Communism tries to teach the human beings is the God is a myth. The chinese language have been indoctrinated with evolutionary technology, as between the 1st steps in the direction of the hot worldwide and imaginitive and prescient. The classes have been taken into the lecture rooms as between the 1st steps. Denying all of it's ridiculous. Communism is atheistic, and Hitler could have believed in God, yet he easily hated Catholicism, and Catholics, and basically ever pretended to cooperate with every physique who could desire to help his reason. He additionally enjoyed Niestzche, and had observed his atheistic concepts. Your assertions are lies. somebody, or physique of human beings, who can justify the homicide of hundreds or tens of millions of human beings, has became his/her/their decrease back on God, and Godly concepts. end your ridiculous lies. Atheism is heavily linked with all of them.

True Christians blame Satan the Devil for all that is against mankind.
Anything less are just ideas and ideals thats just 'carried about with every wind of doctrine'.

Funny how the Christian crusades, and the Inquisition and the witchhunts all get lost in their memories.
Thousands of people were killed by Christians, earning them the undying hostility of Muslims. The wariness of Jews and the fear of native populations all over the globe. A scary history there, more of them should be aware of it, but so many have little if any knowledge of history that its really frightening.
