You can volunteer at your local library if they needs any help
My library has a program where people entering seventh grade can volunteer ther over the summer to enter a contest in the end

America's Second Harvest would probably love to get some help from someone who is looking for someone to help. They run food banks all across the nation. When you get to this first website, ignore the first web address-- it was too long and got chopped off.

What about your local SPCA? cats and dogs all over America are in desperate need of some love and attention. Try also your local retirement home. I used to volunteer at one and it was an amazing experience to see how just smiling at the elderly folks and talking to them about their lives brightened their days.

Red Cross, any health organisation, or even at your church.

My grandfather is about to die but I'm in a different city than he is. Hospice is a response that goes to the house in an emergency or regular checkups that just keeps up with him.

I don't know how old you have to be to volunteer in a
nursing home or a hospital.

Old folks home. A game of checkers is a big deal to someone who use to be somebody and is now ignored.
