I was eating peanut butter crackers, and all of the sudden I started sneezing, getting really itchy, and my nose was tingling. I've eaten them before, and my mother is worried it's a peanut alergy. Any explanation for this? It happens everytime I eat peanut butter crackers now.

Peanut allergy is nothing to take lightly. If you suspect you're allergic do not "test" yourself by eating it. I think difficulty breathing would be a more likely symptom than sneezing though. Mention it to your doctor.

if it does the same thing with regular peanut butter, then it's the peanut butter. put a little somewhere on your skin to see if you get a reaction. It may just be from the crackers themself.

Allergies very rarely occur during a first exposure to anything. Your body will tolerate so much of whatever it si before ti will start to react. This si why allergies can "begin" at any time in a persons life. They can also "disappear" any time. It very well may be and you are best to consul an allergist.

Sneezing is not a sign of an allergy to a food. If you are concerned though go see an allergist.
