Why do you care and how can you prove there is not?

It's your responsibility to prove it if you want us to believe it. Yours is the positive belief, yours is the positive assertion, hence the burden of proof rests upon YOUR shoulders. I stand on firm philosophical ground in taking the skeptical stance. Disbelief is the default position until such time that those who assert positive beliefs substantiate said assertions.

Because the logical argument is that something needs to be proven before you believe it.

If I said the world was filled with invisible, non-tangible turtles you might ask me for some sort of justification for my belief before you believe it too.

Most empirical arguments for the existence of a God stem from the act of creation. There had to be a beginning and if nothing existed before then the cause must have been God.

Personally I believe God is n article of faith... all but impossible to prove or disprove and so outside or reason. You choose to believe or you don't. Don't force the belief on others or they ask you to prove God exists.

The fact they are asking their questions (the atheists) about any Religion, I think it's wonderful.
Questioning is a way to discover much more.
Questioning may be a way to open yourself (?), I hope ...

... to prove that there is a God ... you can do it through your actions, just practically,
as long or as many time as you can, conform with your believes, your personality, etc.

GOD is our SOUL
Our SOUL is GOD

GOD is our SOUL
Our SOUL is GOD

How can you SHOW / prove ITS existence? How else?

This is the reason HE is unique (for every of us). He is our core energy. HE is our life.

Do you have such a "HE"?

It's my SIMPLY supposition ... ?!?

WHY do I care ?
It is said in the Bible we must have care about our bodies, that they are the houses of our Spirit (or something of the kind) ... So, we may mistake sometimes AND lose some ... !?

This secularist is not asking you to prove that there is a god. I sometimes wonder if theists quite know what they are affirming, and by the same token I often wonder if atheists quite know what they are denying.

I am often not sure what the term "god" means in certain particular propositions. It is a very slippery term.

Personally I have never asked anyone to prove there is a god, except in response to being asked to disprove it. I would never ask for the simple reason that all I will get in reply are endless copy pasta bible passages. That is hardly proof of anything, except the inability of believers to understand the word 'proof'

It's the way that many christians 'know' for a 'fact' that there is a god. The unprovability of this belief and it's unwarranted promotion to 'knowledge' or 'fact' irritates me.

All you need to do to get me to back down is admit that it is a belief and not a 'fact'.

The thing is, I have spiritual beliefs too, and I believe in something which can loosely be defined as god. There is no evidence or proof of the existence of my god and so I will not espouse the logical absurdity that it is a 'fact'. I simply hold everyone else's beliefs up to the same scrutiny as I hold my own. Otherwise I would be a hypocrite.

They are asking you to prove it because they want to know.

The essence of faith is belief in that which cannot be proven.

No one can prove or disprove the existence of God.

The manifestation of our faith is love. St. Francis said, "Be careful how you live your life. It is the only Gospel some people will ever read."

If Christians live in peace and love, others will want what we have.

If Christians live in judgment and argumentativeness others will run the other way.

It’s in our nature to make us ask our self those type of question, because our minds can’t explain it. Thanks to this tendency the human being has been able to create and make some improvement.

In my opinion I believe in the BIG BAN. But in the theological part, we know in our interiors what is good and what is bad, since we are little, and we know that is better to do some good that to do bad, and there are people that chose to bad things.

This knowledge define something very important, because it shows our human nature, it make us have something in common. If there is a God or not, we have our human nature and that is more than enough of evidence that something big it’s out there, maybe the name is God, maybe its not. I hope its real, because if there is not a God we are in big trouble.

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. To say there is a god or gods is an extraordinary claim. If you want me to accept it, you need to provide the evidence.

I am quite happy for you to believe whatever you like as long as you don't try to impose your religion on me. Once you do that, I have every right to ask for the evidence to support your claims - and you cannot provide any.

Great Question , Jen...Thanks !!!! They do it for the same reason that : when all you have is a hammer EVERYTHING looks like a nail ....ROFL....LMAO... It's there ONLY argument !!

Where we Christians made a mistake is: we tried to share with them our Truths; instead of challenging them to prove there is NO God.

Because City Hall is not open on December 25th. Or 7-11. Or the library. Or the gym where I play hoops.
