A question for people who study ; do you study to have a good job in the future ? because you don't have anything else to do ? because you think it's fun to learn and study ? because your parents compel you to study ? or for another reason ?
Thanks in advance for answering this question.

I study for various reasons, among them:
1) To increase my biblical knowledge
2) To increase my knowledge on a particular subject
3) To fulfill my curiosity about unknown subjects

I only felt compelled to study in high school, and many of the subjects were so uninteresting and irrelevant to my life. When I entered college, and chose my field of study, I began to love studying, because the information felt so useful. I've continued on with this desire to learn ever since.

I study so that i wwill have a great future withought a education you cant get a job. Welll you can if you plan at working at burger king for the rest of your life which is not what i want. Also when you get a education you can go to college to become something you want to be. i want to have a job where i make enough money t o provide for myself i don't want to have to rely on the state. I study to get my education so that i can get a great job that i love and will make a decent amount of money. Withought your education lets just say the future wont be so bright you will have to work for barely any money at all and wont have any extra money just for fun. I study because I'm interested and want to work somewhere in relation to what I'm studying. Sometimes it's not fun, and it's definitely going to be demanding, but I stay motivated just thinking about the long term affects and how happy I'll be after I graduate.

It's a chain reaction process really. I study to get good grades. I want good grades so I can have a better chance to get in college or get some scholarship of some sort. My parents aren't willing to help me in anyway for college. No one in my family has been to college. So I'm really on my own. In order me to get where I want to be, I HAVE to get those scholarships. Failing is not an option in my book. Studying helps create good habits too. Like time management, it exercises the brain to remember other important things like appointments or birthdays.

Well, studying is a good thing, but i don't think studying what the school provides you to study is a good thing. Studying, I think, is basically inputting information into your brain, but working so that its embeds there.

The Problem: The US public school system is so persistant at injecting useless information into your brain that in most cases discourages you from even thinking about studying.

Because it seems to answer a need I have to learn all that I can. I am always curious about something, and must find the answer. My parents said that I was the worst "Why?" child ever.
