Sweetie, there are lots of people out there envying you for being naturally thin, from the slightly overweight to morbidly obese. If I were naturally thin, I wouldn't care what people thought as I ate all the french fries I wanted and had a milkshake every day. The grass is always greener, huh?

Okay, I'm an 18-year-old male who weighs only 130 pounds at 6 feet. People constantly assume I have an eating disorder. I don't. In fact, contrary to what everyone believes, I eat...a LOT! I just have an extremely high metabolism, and gain very little weight. But yes, it is extremely annoying when people constantly ask if I am anorexic. I am tired of it! But I would rather be called skinny than fat. It's actually really fun when my mom, dad, and sister have to go on diets, and I get to eat whatever I want! Just wanted to let you know...

You probably look great. I have been called thin all my life. Do I care now? No because I look good in all my clothing, while many of my friends and family have expanded their waistlines. My metabolism is just able to processes it all, plus I probably don't eat near the amount of fatty foods they eat. I don't particularly care for fried foods. Mostly, they are envious that they are unable to maintain their weight. Many people ask me how I remain in control of my weight. I smile and say, "I have a good metabolism", and leave it at that. I am 5'8" tall and weigh 130 (normal for my small framed body). Don't eat what you don't want to even when around others. You are not there to appease their sense of what is normal. With the burgeoning number of individuals overweight in the United States, be glad you are able to stay thin. I would much rather be thought of as thin than overweight, because as you age the weight gain will become more of a problem.

Yep if you were to tell someone that they were too fat they'd have a fart attack, but those same people think it's ok to tell someone their too skinny. Not everyone who is skinny is trying to be/look like those sick looking celebrities. Some people are just like that, naturally thin(no help from their lil fingers) and some actually (gasp!) have an illness that makes them thin. Yet people dont care about the truth. They get some secrect pleasure of spreading rumors that untrue. Keep your head up. You know that you are not making yourself sick. People are going to think what they will. The next time someone asks you, "Where does all your food go. Your so skinny.' Tell them. "In one hole and out the other." Some thinks it's gross when I say this but they stop asking.

When you get older lots of people will call you all sorts of things that are untrue. If you try to please other people, you will have a miserable and unhappy life.

Be proud that you are thin (like I am) even though fat people will hate you. Jesus fasted 40 days but he did not care what others thought. To be happy remember the words of Shakespeare: "To thine own self be true."

See short article on site below to learn more about how incredible you are and how you can be happy no matter what others think. I am very proud of you for being thin in the fattest society ever to exist. Princess Diana was very thin at 5'11" and 125 pounds.

I'm 5'6'' and I weigh 98 pounds. I get asked all the time if i'm anorexic or something and I hate it. One time I was standing in line and I heard these people whispering about how skinny I was and they thought I was anorexic. Even people who see me eat think I have an eating disorder. I eat so much and i'm just skinny, I can' t help it. But you just have to learn to ignore it and not take it to heart. Take it as a compliment that you're skinny and don't worry about what others think of you. Just laugh it off and let it go.

No, I don't worry because I've always spent the majority of my waking time eating, and can eat more than anybody else I personally know other than my dad, who's skinnier than me.

If you're skinny you're skinny, though if it worries you should do pilates (I do this and love it) or start a good lifting program and gain some muscle. You'll stay skinny, but will be sexier and healthier, and decrease the long-term risk of osteoperosis!

Being fat is worse than being thin. Every time a girl gets fat, god kills a kitten. Girls, don't get fat.

First of all sweetie, don't give anyone that much power over you and your feelings... I've been thin all my life and I've never weighed more than 115 lbs... But the difference with me is I accept it... you use what you got... thin women are sexy in their own right... clothes fit better, you can ride any amusement park ride you want, you can eat whatever you want without getting fat... there are a lot of advantages to being thin and trust me... I take full advantage... so should you.

It's jealousy. I've been thin all my life, so has my wife. It's also based on stupid charts that people see that say "A person of this height should weigh this much". They don't take build into consideration. According to those charts I should weigh 20 pounds more than I do. If I weighed that much, I'd look chunky as heck. If someone tells you your to thin, tell them "I'm my proper weight," If they push it, tell them not to be hostile towards you because they're to heavy/wide-boned!
It's especially hard if you're American, as this is becoming the fattest country in the world.

I am 5'4" and have never weighed over 115 lbs. I did have an eating disorder 10 years ago and went down to 82 lbs. but compared to what I looked like then, I feel I look healthy. I get judged all the time and people try to get me to eat ( I am not a dog that you can stuff with snacks!!!). I just tell people I don't like food because it is a waste of time since I feel if I tell them I already have eaten, they don't believe me anyway. So it's funnier to see them react to that comment!
Sorry honey, we will be judged until our metabolism slows down :-)
