I've never been spray tanning, and I've never been told about it.
I THINK, it's a woman spraying me, I can almost guarantee that much, but that's about it.
What do I do when I get there? Do I stand naked?
Do I wear my underwear?
I have no idea what's going on.
Any information would help!

Calm down and don't be nervous.
First of all, shave really good (legs and armpits).
Exfoilate your skin. Just make sure to wash and rub dead skin off. This way the tan will hold longer.
Don't put lotions on before you go.
That is a few things to remember.
I had a Mystic tan done one time and it was a machine. I got naked and stood in the machine while it sprayed me up and down. It only took about a minute and a half and then I waited just a little bit for it to dry and put my clothes back on and I was out of there.
My sister got an Airbrush Tan done last month. She was sprayed by a woman. She kept her underwear on. I think most places let YOU decide on what to keep on but some may require you to keep underwear on. They can't force you to be naked. Her tan darkened for 48 hours and then stayed on for about a week.
Don't shower for a least a day after you get your tan. It will wash out some of the tan. These tans don't last a long time but give you a glow for a special event or when you have to wear a swim suit.
There are also tan lotions and now sprays that you can buy at the stores (Wal-Mart). There is always a chance with any of these sprays or lotions that you might be an organish color but you have to just try it out and see.
Make sure to keep your skin moist in between your sprays. I hope this information helped. Don't be nervous though, you will look good and tan when you get done.

Hello!
You can go to a tanning salon and get a Mystic Tan...that's a machine you go into (and they give you directions) you can go in naked or not....I have done it before and I LOVED it...it lasts about a week or so.
You can also get airbrushed (where someone sprays you)...I have never got that done but my best friend gets it all of the time. At some salons you can even pick the color of the tan (how dark you want it) she LOVES it...and she gets REALLY dark.
So it's up to you...I think the airbrush tan is a little more expensive (not too bad...though) good luck
PS I also think you are super smart to use a sun/tanning bed alternative!!

I got a spray tan last week. I went to a spa so they provided me with a bathrobe and sandals. For the spray I had the option of being naked, wearing disposable undies and being topless, wearing my own undies, or wearing a disposable bra and undies. I suppose you could go in your own bathing suit, but it will get yucky from the spray.
I chose disposable undies/topless, but next time I might go naked.

There are booths like what was mentioned before, but there are places that actually airbrush you by hand to ensure a nice even color. I have done that before, and I had to wear underwear (a thong was fine) but I could go topless. I was okay with that, I woudn't want to go stark nekkid anyhoo! I was under some heat lamps so that I did not get cold, but there was a fan to help me dry faster too. Don't worry, they will guide you right thru it!

ha well its different it depends on wehre you go... now the times i have been you go in a room and you have to put on this speical lotion on your fingers and feet and hands so theyu dont retain the spray and you goin a box you wear a hair net and you can wear whatever you want. and you stand there and it sprays your front and then it stops and you turn around and it sprays your back and its instant dry. i mean you can wear whtever you like. i have done it naked because i mean its jsut a machine spraying me.

you wear your bathing suit just like you would for regular tanning, If they say otherwise, run, don't walk to another salon. My daughter had hers done at our dermatoligists office.

im sure its a woman. I wear a g string. EXFOLIATE GOOD, cover nail tips ans use the border cream on toes.
