chemically straightening your hair will cause less breakage because your roots will be straightened so a flat iron is not needed as often.

Straightening your hair everyday is more damaging. Reason being because you are doing this 5 times a week and Im sure your using the hottest level like most girls do. Chemical straightening should be done at the least, once a month. Chemical straightening is only bad if you arent properly taking care of your hair and your applying other chemicals on top of it.
You can do both but when you straighten your hair with a flat iron, try to use a low setting and try not to use it everyday. If you have to, only use it on the parts that need a touchup, not the whole head. Make sure you use a great moisturized and a heat protectant.
If you find your whole head is need of an entire straight look, try another style that wont reflect it. A simple ponytail with sideswept bangs is cute. Play with it and use accessories until some time has passed by. Its good to give your hair a heat break. Try braids to make waves and other styles.

It probably would, but don't do it youself. They sell some stuff at Walmart that chemically straightens your hair, DO NOT buy that, it makes your hair poofy, and worse than ever. Go to a local salon, and ask if they do that. If they don't search around your area for salons that do this.
If you can't find any salons that do this, first, you need to get a hair cut to get rid of all of the split ends. Before you straighten it, you should get certain serums to put on the ends of your hair to keep from splitting. The small pieces that land on your shirt are called snap-offs. There are anti snap-off sprays that you can use, and it helps prevent this.
You can also get TRESemme Anti-Breakage shampoo & conditioner at Walmart, it's only like $7-10. It works. But you should ALWAYS try to protect your hair from the heat.
Try not to straighten your hair so much, put it back in a pony tail if it's long enough for two days out of the five. Try something different. When you're not going anywhere special that day, just don't straighten your hair. I only straighten my hair when I go to special places, other than that, I just let it curl naturally, put it in a ponytail, and straighten my bangs [ after using a protective serum ]
The protective serum you can usually get at a local salon or Walmart.
Pllleassseee do NOT use the chemical straightener yourself, if ruins your hair. [ I've done it, it's pretty bad! ]

If you need to straighten you hair everyday, just apply a small amount of product that is specifically designed for the use of straighteners. It will prevent damage that can be caused by over straightening. You can buy the product at most hair salons, especially the ones that also sell straighteners. It's a hair serum, a small teaspoon amount, and the hair stays healthy. I find it works great, and I straightener my hair quite often, no split ends here

I think they would be about the same. If you have the money, and a not so sensitive scalp I'd go for the chemicaly straightened hair. My friend has had it done (but then again her hair is mostly straight on its own) My only concern would be what would the hair look like once some of it grows out, like how would the roots look!? If you put conditioner on your hair (remember work it into you HAIR not your scalp, paying most attention to your ends) you'll be fine. To help with split ends I use (now don't laugh) mane and tail shampoo and their conditioner. Yes, it is for horses, but works REALLY well on dry hair and helps keep slit ends controled. (also keeps your scalp from getting all icky and oily)You can buy it at Albertsons for like $5 or $6 for a pretty big bottle. Leave the conditioner in for atleast 2 minutes. That should help. Then follow up with some leave in conditioner and a cream or spray that helps protect your hair from the heat.
And remember it is NOT gross to go a day without washing your hair. The oils keep your hair straight and shiny. (but please, wash the rest of your body:) )

Neither of them are healthy. Don't straighten your hair everyday!!!!!!!!! Try twice a week. Why? Because your hair will end up with with so much split ends, it'll get frizzy and super dry.
If your going to straighten your hair use a heat activated shampoo conditioner and spray to protect your from the heat. I reccomend Sunsilk Thermashine
Trim your hair tips every 4-6 weeks to avoid damage
Deep condition once a week.

Depends on you hair type. Is it thin, or course, is it dry? If it is course then chemically straightening it would be better so you would not have to put so much heat on it. But if you are like me. I have fine wavy hair. So the chemical are to hard for my hair. But i have the same problem. i have to deep condition it often. I try to only straighten it every other day.

I chemically straightened my hair recently...a week after dying it...Let's suffice it to say that it was a bad idea...After showing some tender loving care to my hair though, it's gotten better..
I would say that whichever way works best for you..I have found that my hair is easier to handle now that i chemically straightened it..I do still have to use a flat iron, but I only use it twice a week..

Both, straighting your hair everyday gives it the same harsh effects of chemically straightining it. You should only straighten your hair 2-3 times a week.
