She has to "do it" when the dude says so. She gets beat. She has to do all the housework. She is responsible for this chastity delusion more than the man...so are women just objects for men to attain and keep? Like a pet, but bipedal and capable of communication?
How am I less than you, Muslim males, simply because my dad shot a girl out that day?
If you don't like my tone, tough. I'm trying hard to play nice. Especially with garbage like these Islamic notions that women are inferior. And please, you aren't Spock, so don't try and Vulcan mind warp me. Islam is, as Islam does. And right about now, your chicks have a piss poor lease on life: Hijabs in hot assed weather, "Husband, CAN I go to the store?" (wtf???), the Islamic bicycle, the Islamic "swimsuit", public stonings, beatings, 4:34, menustration is a disease (hadith), women and dogs null prayers (hadith), Bad omens are the house, the horse and the woman (hadith).
WTF???
Let the Taqqyiah begin...

Cythian,
So power is all about controlling other human beings and stripping their power to choose and Be from them? That's not power, that's abuse and backwardsness.

Fallen Angel,
Please read the Koran. Seriously. Read the whole thing, and you will see, I'm not being hateful, I'm being real. Surah 4, ayat 34, is about dominating women and beating them. No BS. Please read it for yourself. I will say no more.

LOL, I don't know where you get your info... but last time I checked Islam makes the man into a slave of his wife and family. The woman is allowed to work, and doesn't have to give any of the money she earns to her husband (Hadith). Muslim men are expected to be a slave to their family when they are at home (Hadith). The man is to please his wife when she is in need, even when she is on menses through a sheet (Hadith). And if the man isn't obedient to his mother, then to hell with him (Qur'an, Hadith). Muslim men are ranked in piety by their treatment of their wife and family (Hadith).
Though many so called Muslim men do not follow the Qur'an and Hadith. They tweak things so that the woman becomes their slave. They treat women poorly and like furniture, which is totally forbidden in Islam. Seems that it's not Islam that's messed up, it's men (well some men, who would choose to enslave their wives rather than serve them as a righteous husband should.)
So the answer, in summary, is no Islam does not make the woman into a pleasure tool. Though it almost does the opposite when followed properly. It would seem men, of all religious faiths make women into pleasure tools (not caring what God has to say about it.)

No, you are mistaken. Heaven is at the feet of mothers.
Though it is true that a woman is not supposed to deny her husband intimate relations without reason, a husband is absolutely forbidden to beat his wife in such a way that she is harmed, according to every interpretation of Quran. Muslim women are not required to do housework, the men are responsible for the housework, but most wives help with it or do it out of love for their husbands.
The so-called "wife beating" verse, 4:34, has been used by certain men to justify hitting a defiant wife. The Prophet of Islam never hit his wife, or any other woman. Many hadiths clearly say that if a man harms his wife or child, he has to pay money to them. It's called "blood money". She also would probably seek a divorce, if he persists. The Arabic word in verse 4:34, which has commonly been interpreted as "beat lightly" is thought by many scholars to actually mean "turn away". Even if it does mean "beat lightly", it gives very specific circumstances in which this is permissible. He can't beat her lightly for just anything, and he has to first discuss the problem with her, then express his displeasure by avoiding her company BEFORE he is allowed to strike her lightly with his toothbrush.
Any hadith which contradicts the Quran and common sense is false, no matter who is reported to have narrated it.

Darling,
You are seriously very warped. You obviously have a hang-up about Islam women.
And...no, I'm not Islamic. I'm a JEW and proud of it.
Oh no....now I've probably started you on ANOTHER topic.
Anyway, my dear. You are sadly mistaken. You have a problem that needs taken care of. Have you taken your meds lately? Have you seen Dr. Spock yourself?
Please help yourself. We don't need bigoted, egocentrical, anti-social sociopaths in this forum.
Here, let me help you:
Antisocial personality disorder (APD) is a personality disorder which is often characterised by antisocial and impulsive behaviour. APD is generally (if controversially) considered to be the same as, or similar to, the disorder that was previously known as psychopathic or sociopathic personality disorder. Approximately 3% of men and 1% of women have some form of antisocial personality disorder (source: DSM-IV).

I'm sorry to tell you that you are pretty much wrong. A woman does not 'have' to 'do it' if she doesn't want to. She doesn't get beat for anything, unless the husband is illiterate and doesn't know anything about Islam. But hey, religion doesn't play any part here, because what about men of other religions...don't they beat their wives...some just go about murdering them.
If a woman doesn't want to do the housework, then she doesn't. It's completely her choice...again, pretty much all women do the housework, Christians, Buddhist, Hindus, etc. So...let's just say that you don't have the right information. In Islam, both men and women are equal.
And about hijab, it's the woman covering herself, why are you so bothered about it if the woman herself isn't??

So, what is the question? What are you driving toward?
Most Muslim nations are matriarchs, regardless of what the newspapers tell you.
The Mother runs the house. She picks the future wife, and she takes control over the new wife when she moves into the extended family group.
Go on the mountain and find the truth.

Don't be such a *****. Just because you don't understand their religion doesn't give you any right to persecute them.
You're think of sexism.
Edit: You're lumping a whole religion together, that's not right. It's the terrorists who blew up the planes and bombed buildings, they're muslim yes, but that doesn't mean all muslims are like that. Get your head out of your *** and stop stereotyping. What religion are you anyway?

I am a Muslim woman, and you are sadly disillusioned.
If you have sincere questions about Islam, I suggest you visit www.path-to-peace.com . There is even a section on Islamic sexuality where you can learn that the woman's satisfaction is as important as the man's.
The notion you have that women are inferior is not Islamic; anyone who practices the oppression of women is not practicing Islam.
