Can I install Office 2007 on more than one machine?

I just purchased a new Lenovo with a copy of Office 2007. I would like to install Office onto my second machine for my wife. I keep getting a message saying that I only have 24 more times then I need to purchase the program. Didn't I just purchase it with my new Laptop???

Office, like all Microsoft products is licensed on to be installed and run on a single machine. However, many version which come pre-installed are only free 30-day trials.

If you have a full commerical copy, the installation is for a single machine. If you want it on a 2nd machine, you buy a 2nd copy.

That's why free options like OpenOffice are attractive :)

If the purchase price of the laptop included Office, then you should have the full version. However, unless you buy another license from Microsoft, you can only legally install it on one computer at a time. So legally you could install it on your other computer only if you removed it from your laptop. Many new computers come with a trial version that expires which forces you to pay up to Microsoft if you want to continue using it.

microsoft office is retailing by me for about 230 used n thats USED and idealy microsoft and other big companys dont want people installing the sofeware you purchest on other peoples computers as look at microsoft works 9.0 thats all over the web for download so microsoft have lost alot of cash in people downloading it and not buying it but with the 24 times block this insured that one copy of office 2007 can only be installed a maximim of 24 times that way you can't share it with every one you know

so yes you do own it but remember YOU will only be alowed to install that copy 24 time (the amount you stated) after that it will tell you to purches a new serial
