I was just wondering, since Jesus said that the sole reason God created women in the first place was to provide company and service to men (1 Corinthians 11:9), God determined that men would be lonely living alone, so he created women purely to keep men company and serve their needs (Genesis 2:18-22). I suppose this means that women are therefore completely subordinate to men (1 Corinthians 11:3). It stands to reason, though, that once men enter the Heaven, they will be one with God, and will no longer be lonely and in need of mortal companionship. So does this mean that women don’t have souls? Also, where do they go when they die?

Debating Bible meaning is pointless. From a common sense perspective it is clear that women are the more complete sex and therefore more likely to be the sex with a soul. As far as being subordinate to men Western Civilization has evolved to where that is not the law and is not supported by law so there you have your answer.

I would think that women do have souls. Adam had all the creatures of the world to keep him company, but they had no souls and therefore did not understand what Adam understood. The woman understood Adam and that tells me she had a soul.
On another level: I am a woman in this life but was a man in a past life. Does that qualify?

Ok even if I am not sure about the veracity of the question. Since the argument is based on women being the companion of man One of terms terms for Holy Spirit is translated as the one who walks beside.

Good point!
Primitive societies often threw a man's surviving spouse onto his funeral pyre so that she could keep him company in the afterlife (or so that the tribe didn't have to support her into her old age).
But the concept that females are somehow lesser than males is a patriarchal one, and derives from the Abraham/Moses traditional folktales. Of course this is sexist, so it makes sense to drop the entire Judeo/Christian/Islamic canon to get rid of these antiquated, worn-out ideas.

I've often wondered about this myself, since every human being on the planet starts off in the womb as female. The Y chromosome doesn't kick in until the end of the second month of gestation to urge the female organs to change to male testes and penis. So, when it comes down to it.....who is all male? nobody. So, is heaven going to be empty waiting for a male christian to show up?

According to Judaism, women are on a higher spirtual level than men are, and the only reason women even incarnate here on this planet is to find the other half of their soul (their male soulmate) and help HIM fix himself spiritually.
Your complete lack of understanding of Genesis is typical of a non-Jew. Next time ask a Jew what it actually means, rather than relying on interpretations from Christianity who stole it from the Jews and put their own twisted ideas into it.

Yes, women do have souls, just as men have souls. Women are the human and spiritual equals of men. They are not subservient to men and placed on this earth for B&K duty only. They are only subservient to Almighty God.

No they don't! Whatever on Earth gave you the idea that a woman could possibly have a soul. That's like asking does a woman have a dick. She only gets one if she's lucky.
