Do not think that I have come to abolish the law and the prophets; I have come not to abolish them but to fulfill them. For truly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the law until all is accomplished. Whoever then relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but he who does them and teaches them shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I tell you, unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of Heaven (Matthew 5:17-20).

Hello, Stat:

When I woke up this morning, the sun was shining, the birds singing, and I was still breathing. This tells me that the world has not passed away. And everything was not accomplished because our tempter is still running around like the devil wreaking havoc.

That tells me that Jesus words will not pass away, and we need a visible 10-commandment law to remind us what transgression is.

There was many other laws in types and priestly ordinances that were abolished as the Jewish dispensation passed to the Gentiles, but we will still be judged by what James calls the Law of Liberty.

You need read www.revelado.org/666.htm to see that Sunday was typified in the Old Testament and nailed to the cross--Sunday will not be observed throughout the endless days of eternity--Jesus fulfilled it by His resurrection, thus Sunday-sacredness was abolished.

Blessings, Balaam

Read Matthew 22:36--40 for the rest of what Jesus has to say about His fulfilling the Law, ........Jesus gave us two commandments, and they both require LOVE. He says all the ten commandments hang on these two. What He is trying to tell us all, is that if we have this kind of love toward God and mankind, that we can fulfill these ten commandments as well. Real love, and not feigned love, toward God and our neighbor can cause us to do no harm to our neighbor, therefore we will keep the commandments by, with, and through love, and not through our own works, and striving to obey them. It's that simple. He says many times in the gospels, "keep my commandments." When we do and keep Jesus"s two commandments of love, we will also keep the law of the ten, of His, and our Father..............Christians worship on Sunday Because that is the day of Christ's Resurrection to life. Orthodox Jews still worship on the Sabbath (Saturday), which is part of old testament law. Are you an Orthodox Jew, or a Christian ?

The key phrase here is "until all is accomplished."

Jesus accomplished all that was written about him in the law, the psalms, and the prophets, and the old law ... ALL of it .. did indeed pass away ... replaced by the new covenant in Christ's blood, which is governed by the Church.

There was not a problem with the Ten Commandments. The problem was with the promises made by GOD's people. That's what made the Old Covenant faulty.

Hebrews 8:8  For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:

The law could never save anyone and the blood sacrifices were only a shadow of the redemptive work that Christ would do at Calvery which He paid the price in full and now people can come to Christ and have their sins totally washed away and be freed from the power of death and hell that follows if only people believe..The Law was a schoolmaster showing us that we are conpletely guilty under it and could never follow it so Christ took the place of the law and gave us two commandments to follow-1) Love the Lord God with all your heart, mind, soul, and your strenght 2) to love your neighbor as much as you love your self....and through Christ we are able to love unconditionally even own worst of enemies..As HE DID!

The old law was the 613 Jewish laws in the Old Testament. The coming of Jesus Christ did not destroy, but fulfilled the law, which in the end, is Love, and Jesus filled this completely.

Peace be with you, and the truth shall make you free.

To put and end to a vow, oath or covenant it must be completed, it must be fulfilled.

The 10 commandments as found in Exodus and Deuteronomy have been repealed and the Laws have been fulfilled.

The 10 Commandments were given by the devil, on Mount Sinai, in the wilderness od Sinai

Keeping the sabbath holy only applies to Jews. Non-Jews are bound by only the seven Noahide laws.

Sunday is resurrection day, not the sabbath.
