Let the cats work it out. Sounds like she is acting like a surrogate mother to the kitten. Kittens are just so full of energy, more energy then adult cats. The kitten is simply trying to play with the other cat, not trying to hurt her.

My ten year old female cat did the same thing with my moms kitten when she brought it home. The adult cat can definitely deal with the kitten, mine use to sit on the kitten when she got out of control.

Now that the kitten is 1 year old they will still wrestle, but only playfully.

The kitten will eventually grow out of it, and as long as your older cat is not showing signs of stress (hair loss, loss of appetite etc). Let the kitten be a kitten, I am sure the older cat understands on some level what is going on.

This is normal kitten behavior. If you really wish for it stop, dont NOT yell at the kitten, just pull it away from the older kitten. If you yell or spray the kitten with water, it will only cause your kitten to have be afraid when you come near her. Good Luck :)

She's just playing. It's nothing to worry about unless for whatever reason the older cat goes crazy and attacks the kitten from annoyance(most likely WON'T happen.) Don't worry, it's natural for kittens to be that way.

That's just the way kittens play. Your other female is capable of telling your kitten when she's had enough, and believe me, if she was really bothered by it, she'd do more than bat the kitten away.

You can play with the kitten with an interactive toy, like Da Bird, to get the kitten's energy out and to entertain it. Your kitten is just looking to play. :-)

Nothing! That's a kitten for you. Just wants to play. Get a string and tie some crumpled up paper on the end to distract her...or get some fancy toys. When they are that young, they usually tire out fairly soon. Oh, and Vince, the real idiots aren't here, but I know where you can see a real one. Look in a mirror!

The baby is looking for attention. She's bored and she wants to play. The older cat knows this, but doesn't feel like playing. Like any baby, the kitten is persistent. Play with her more and she won't bother your other cat so much.

I would not worry about this. From the info you have provided here, it sounds like a playful form of biting. This is normal cat behavior, and there is nothing that can be done about it.

As long as the cats don't growl and hiss at each other, assume that they are just playing.
