At least 1 FOREIGN language (I'm assuming that's what you meant), yes. Colleges are getting quite competitive, so you'll need at least a language to get into one. Though, I think that most high schools require a foreign language just to graduate, don't they...? Either way, you'll have to take one for at least 2 years, recommended 3 ("recommended" basically meaning that you have to take it if you want to get into a better college), but taking a language for 4 years is always best.

I'm going to be a freshman in college in the fall.
In order to graduate from my high school, I had to take at least two years of a language.
At the college of my choice, since I took three years of French, I do not need to take a language. However, to those who have not taken a language in high school, they need to take at least two years.
But I'm sure it depends on what your college's requirements are.

Depends on the college and the program. Most programs want at least 2 years of a foreign lang. from high school. but are willing to overlook it if you do decent on your SAT or ACT. Most times it doesn't matter. When you get into college, more than likely you'll have to take a foreign lang. (most college students take spanish) Usually 4 semesters is needed to graduate. good luck

No, seriously not in the US you don't, but every extra little bit of knowledge helps.

I wish I knew another language. Knowing another language will really interest employers.
