And you reason for saying that this is so is ?
How do you feel about:
Osiris is real and He created us all. also the heaven and earth, sun, moon, stars, clouds, etc... and all living things! Ra is the true living God! Ra saves! Osiris loves you all.
But, since thinking about this would probably interfere with your preconceptions.
May you god go, with you.

I came into my inability to believe that deities real while studying some descriptions of near-death experiences. It was interesting, that such descriptions from people who were not brought up in Western Culture were completely different than the descriptions from people who were.... on the surface. The project was an exercise in rhetoric and in studying the words people used and finding meaning in their experiences, it seemed that most people experienced very, very similar things, only in the context of their dominant religion or culture.
I came to the conclusion that deities and all the other supernatural entities are not actually real, but are metaphors for something our human minds can't comprehend - an attempt to define the undefinable.

YES!!! But I have to tell you this... Last night, Jesus appeared to me and told me that I should ignore people who preach about his glory because he only intends to save the atheists in the Rapture. He said the bible is a total fabrication, and it was only meant to separate the dogmatic fools from the truly intelligent people. He said that anyone who can see that the bible is false is intelligent enough to be saved. He said the whole purpose of Christianity was to separate the dumb fools who can't think for themselves from the smart people who can. He even proved that he wasn't Satan in disguise, by calling God, His father, to appear next to him and God himself told me that He wasn't Satan. And since God said it, it has to be true. Jesus also told me to only share this with those I thought were intelligent enough to understand this message, and since you seem very intelligent, I'm telling you.

If you can prove to me he exists without using the bible and saying "the bible says he is real and the bible comes from him" and all that, I would listen. The "proof" people have for God would never hold up in a court of law, yet people expect hard core physical and scientific proof of everything else people believe in (Bigfoot, ghosts, etc). I feel that something as important as life and death should be able to have actual proof to back it up.

There are thousands of gods - you have no trouble disbelieving thousands of them; the only one you think is real is the one your parents told you was real. Coincidence?
Nobody can prove any gods, much less a specific god, exist; many people will tell you their god exists but no others, but will never be able to prove it, even if they think so. Some will threaten you with eternal pain or promise eternal joy to get you to believe in their god; these are all stories, created for people who were scared long before we understood the universe. Now we have no more reason for these superstitions.

Notice that your statement "God is real" is an opinion. You have provided no evidence in support of that opinion. Is there evidence? Irrefutable, incontrovertible, verifiable evidence?
The Bible doesn't count.
It may be that the absence of evidence is what convinces people. Difficult concept to grasp, but work at it a bit.

god is a figment of people's imagination & the bible is the worlds most read fairytale book.
There is absolutely no evidence to suggest he / she / it exists & the idea of god being real is only kept alive by insecure people who need something / someone to blame for their wrong doings which us atheists don't. I am at ease with the concept of there being no god & no after life but religious people could never have that peace of mind.

They love their sin more then GOD. Now watch because I know this will be attacked. I am sorry that they will not listen to you or me. Their hearts are hard and their eyes are blind. Keep trying to reach the lost. God bless

No proof, and a lot of religions are complete contradictions and are totally illogical. I base my decisions on logic and reason and came to the conclusion that I do not believe there is magical man in the sky looking out for us.
