Don't expect a clear answer from the very people you are questioning. They will simply use the trinity as the answer.

This is just some of many reasons:
the bible tells us that Satan is blinding the minds of the unbelievers so that the light of the truth can not come into their hearts and they get healed.
They have been conditioned by the church physiology's that say the trinity is a mystery and can not be understood. Funny, all ancient religions before and after the time of Christ believe in a 3 faced god head or that there were 3 to make up the god they worshiped.
For others they just don't want the responsibility that comes with wisdom. Because wisdom, is knowledge that has been applied and Gods way of life is to restrictive for them.

I ask myself that question constantly!
It is a mistranslation of ONE scripture that apparently supersedes the DOZENS that state that Jehovah God and Jesus Christ are 2 SEPARATE PEOPLE!
"The Word was A god."- Not "God," but "A god."
Satan the Devil is called the "God of this system of things."
A glutton even turns their stomach into a god.
A God is something you ascribe devotion to, so even people can be considered gods.
Jesus himself stated over and over again that the Father was greater than he was, that he did nothing of his own accord, etc. In fact, if you think about it, how could Jesus resurrect himself if he was indeed "God incarnate?" (Some food for though there!)
As for Jesus and the Father being one- the scriptures also tell us that a married couple will become "one flesh." How is that possible? Does that mean they are LITERALLY the same person? OF COURSE NOT! It means that since they are so close, they mirror each other's attributes, attitudes and actions- they become one in purpose and accord.
Same with God and His Son. :0)

I agree with you, because that's what the Bible says. Jesus came from the Father, and was sent here by the Father, and was approved by the Father as our Savior and Redeemer. God the Father's name was YHWH, later translated as Jehovah. Jesus' name was Emmanuel. There is a Father, a Son, and a Holy Spirit, but they aren't the same being. Jesus never claimed to be our Father or our Creator, read the Bible more closely. I could spend all day quoting scripture, but the best advice is to just read it...don't just go by what you were taught.
The only answer for that question that I can come up with is that it's Satan's job to confuse us and confuse our understanding of God's Word the Bible. I also believe that Satan is behind the division of Christianity and Christians. Do you ever wonder why there are so many different types and sects of Christianity? If we are all Christians and claim to follow the same God, then why are we not united in our effort to follow God according to His Word? I believe it's because Satan wants it that way, he loves seeing Christians divided and undecided about what the Bible really says. And another problem is how many Christians actually take the time to read the Bible. You can't just have someone read it for you, you have to actually pick it up and read it yourself to see if what "Christians" are preaching is actually accurate according to God's Word or not. Satan is a master schemer and manipulator, and we're falling for all of his tricks. The Bible tells us that all of our praise and worship should be directed only toward the ONE TRUE GOD --- YHWH, and NO ONE else. If you are praying to or worshiping Jesus, Mary, the "saints", or any other being...then you are clearly not directing all of your worship to the Almighty God alone. That is exactly what Satan wants...do you think he wants us worshiping God correctly???

It says no one can enter heaven but only threw the son. The son is Jesus. God is the father of Jesus. Then there is the Holy Spirit. This is called the Trinity. All of this is part of God. WE as Christians dont always just pray to God we also pray for Jesus and The Holy Spirit. This is how we get our power and no one can take this from us. I hope that you understand and start to pick up your Bible more often because it is good for you. God be with the Believers. Amen

There is One God, eternally existant in Three Persons, God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit.
Jesus taught He is God all the time. However all the, "Mr. Know it Alls" usually miss it.
In the Old Testament, Jesus is also called God.

There are many varied reasons that people have for wanting to believe this.
IT IS said that some Bible texts offer proof in support of the Trinity. However, when reading such texts, we should keep in mind that the Biblical and historical evidence does not support the Trinity.
Any Bible reference offered as proof must be understood in the context of the consistent teaching of the entire Bible. Very often the true meaning of such a text is clarified by the context of surrounding verses.
Three in One
THE New Catholic Encyclopedia offers three such "proof texts" but also admits: "The doctrine of the Holy Trinity is not taught in the O[ld] T[estament]. In the N[ew] T[estament] the oldest evidence is in the Pauline epistles, especially 2 Cor 13.13 [verse 14 in some Bibles], and 1 Cor 12.4-6. In the Gospels evidence of the Trinity is found explicitly only in the baptismal formula of Mt 28.19."
In those verses the three "persons" are listed as follows in The New Jerusalem Bible. Second Corinthians 13:13 (14) puts the three together in this way: "The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all." First Corinthians 12:4-6 says: "There are many different gifts, but it is always the same Spirit; there are many different ways of serving, but it is always the same Lord. There are many different forms of activity, but in everybody it is the same God who is at work in them all." And Matthew 28:19 reads: "Go, therefore, make disciples of all nations; baptise them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit."
Do those verses say that God, Christ, and the holy spirit constitute a Trinitarian Godhead, that the three are equal in substance, power, and eternity? No, they do not, no more than listing three people, such as Tom, Dick, and Harry, means that they are three in one.
This type of reference, admits McClintock and Strong's Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological, and Ecclesiastical Literature, "proves only that there are the three subjects named, . . . but it does not prove, by itself, that all the three belong necessarily to the divine nature, and possess equal divine honor."
Although a supporter of the Trinity, that source says of 2 Corinthians 13:13 (14): "We could not justly infer that they possessed equal authority, or the same nature." And of Matthew 28:18-20 it says: "This text, however, taken by itself, would not prove decisively either the personality of the three subjects mentioned, or their equality or divinity
Also Jesus does not say that he is God but(John10:36) God calls Jesus not God or does not say he is Jesus(Matthew3:16,17) Jesus was baptized why? It was a dedication to God not to himself for Jesus primary concern while he was on earth was not the pleasing of himself, but the doing of his Father's will

Jesus said the Father was greater than He not because Jesus is not God, but because Jesus was also a man and as a man he was in a lower position. He was ". . . made for a little while lower than the angels . . ." (Heb. 2:9). Also in Phil. 2:5-8, it says that Jesus "emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men . . ."
Jesus has two natures. Jesus was not denying that He was God. He was merely acknowledging the fact that He was also a man. Jesus is both God and man. As a man, he was in a lesser position than the Father. He had added to Himself human nature (Col. 2:9). He became a man to die for people.
A comparison can be found in the marriage relationship. Biblically, a husband is greater in position and authority than his wife. But, he is no different in nature and he is not better than she. They share the same nature, being human, and they work together by love.
So, Jesus was not denying that He was God. He was simply acknowledging that He was also a man and as a man, he was subject to the laws of God so that He might redeem those who were under the law; namely, sinners (Gal. 4:4-5).

There is one God whom we worship, God the Father. Christ is also a God, as is the Holy ghost. God the Father and Jesus his Son are separate physical beings, it is the only thing which makes any sense, otherwise, Christ would be talking with himself, forsaking himself, etc. They are one in what they do and how they would act. Christ prayed his disciples would also be one with him as he was with the Father. Does that mean they would all occupy the same body? No, they are one in purpose.
Isaiah 9:6
“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace”
Matt 17:1-5
“While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him”

Mistranslation of verse, Platonism being slid into Christianity, etc, etc.
Gibbons book, 'The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire', explained a lot when it said that the early monks had to study at a school of Plato before they could study Christianity.
See how the tainting of true worship began?
