yes exactly, but the problem is that none of the religions are true. in fact, if there was one true religion, there would be no need for the term "religion", it would just be a fact of life.

Good point. But as someone else said before me, you wouldn't need the term religion then. It certainly would be nice if all humans could reach a common concept & then maybe we'd stand a chance of having peace in the world.

I think you dont understand the concept of faith. If it were just understood among humanity, you would not need faith.

yes, but the devil is so busy distorting Gods word and and confusing people about what is right the only thing is to have a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus christ and he will give you the holy spirit to lead and guide you into all truth, and 2: there should be no different names on religion if you are in relationship we are all part of the body of Christ

Ithink all religions require faith or belief. Ipersonally believe you must be born of spirit, a rebirth if you will. This I believe you must come as a child trusting, open and willing to believe. the Creator Iknow would never reject such a soul, nor never betray or ask that soul to go against that innocence.

In the Bhagavad-Gita, God says, Just give up all these varieties of religion, and surrender to me".
If you surrender to God, there is no need for following any religion. The whole purpose of religion is to get to the point of surrendering to God. If you just surrender to God, you have accomplished the goal of religion.

Good point.
You would also expect that the followers of the 'true' religion would derive some degree of observable benefit.
It doesn't happen.
Relgion is a delusion caused by years of brainwashing.

Yes, that is why every human has a thing called a conscience, It was God's 'failsafe' to anyone who complained "I didn't know what I was doing was wrong..."

The fact that it isn't should tell you there isn't one true religion. Everyone thinks there religion is the one true religion, which explains all the suffering and misery inflicted in religion's name, but people will always believe what they want.

If you choose to believe in anything religious....keep it to simply believing in god. Christians will say they are right......buddhist think they are right......muslims believe they are right...jews believe...etc..etc..etc...
Simply put...what religion you are..if you are religious....is based on circumstances......where you were born, and if you were brought up with religion in the home. People who don't believe in god typically come from a nonreligious home. People born in Iran will be muslim....if born in latin america you are likely a catholic christian....etc..etc..etc. (Yes there are exceptions to the rules)!
Keep it simple if you choose to believe......
GL
PS--without religions what would people around the world who need to fight...fight for??
