why is it that when someone makes a comment about people not liking tattoos those people all freak out, but they think its ok to turn around and refer to those of us with tattoos as being stupid for getting them and trashy and tramps. I'm just curious as to why people can dish out the insults, but when they tables are turned, they can't take them?

People condemn what they do not understand and what is different. People, in general, are sheep and go along with "the norm" or the majority rule not taking the time to see it from a different point of view. Everyone likes to think they are right all the time, even regarding the opinions of others. Opinions are not meant to have a right or wrong answer, but to condemn someone for having their own is indeed wrong. I'm right in there with you on this question. I don't know why people can't just respect one another for being different so long as they aren't harming anyone! If people could learn to stand up for what they believe in, while at the same time, not judge, we would all be better off. I don't know if I've answered your question, but if not, just chock it up to personal opinion! =]

Fragile egos? That seems like the case with a lot who lash out; people who are really that comfortable with themselves tend not be so insulting & bullying - which is what it really is.
Constructive criticism is fine and I encourage that, but it doesn't give the same vicarious thrill as that of being an insulting troll. I know I've overstepped the bounds of civility from time to time & I feel embarrassed by it; I'm not sure if that reaction is shared by others.
We should remain civil to each other here, if only because it's too easy not too.

I don't know if I'd say everyone freaks out but some people do get defensive maybe those who are most vocal about people with tattoos are envious maybe they secretly would like one but are chicken or afraid of what people would say .I don't have one but my best friend has 2 a butterfly on her shoulder and a vine with flowers on her ankle.I don't think people are trashy for getting them but i know someone who got the name of her boyfriend on her upper arm then they broke up she had to have it altered I just think you have to really think it out before you put a name of someone on you Any thing else is up to the person being tattooed it's your body and body art doesn't change the person you are inside

You just answered your own question: no one likes the taste of their own medicine.
Personally, I think some tattoos are beautiful and tasteful, and some really just are trashy. It's the same thing with clothes, etc. But even if someone has a trashy tattoo, I don't automatically assume they're trashy or a tramp.

I wouldn't get tattoos myself, but don't have a problem with women who have small tattoos that aren't in obvious places, but also not in PRIVATE places...I dated a woman who had a small rose on the back of her shoulder...I would not date a woman who had a tattoo on her boob or a s s...She should be giving ME a show, not some perverted tattoo artist...I'd be wondering if she paid for the tat with money or whether she paid for it using the very body part it is on...

Because having a tattoo can be trashy. NOT having one can't be.
Edit: You are so smart aren't you? Why don't you go back and read your own post. You asked two questions. I answered the first although you didn't know enough to put a question mark at the end of a question that starts with "why" or the fact that you even asked two questions...lol
btw I dont care for tattoos, but it's just the truth, everyone has seen someone with tattoos drawn all over their bodies...that can legitimately be called trashy. But some can be nice. You can't call someone trashy cause they don't have any, that would just make no sense. "You're trashy cause...cause...your skin is plain and has no ink all over it!!!!"

"The difference between tattooed people and people without tattoos, is that tattooed people dont care if you dont have any tattoos."

They are just jealous of all the beautiful people that have them. They are also sad that the tattoo artist refused to do any form of artwork/beautification on someone who is as ugly as they are. They are mad and have to lash out anyway possible.

double standard, hypocrites!
they are quick to judge others and not themselves. who knows, i tihnk they may be jealous because they feel constricted by their own beliefs adn we feel free to do what we want.
