I have run in Asics, New Balance, Adidas, Brooks, Saucony, Nike and Reebok; I never considered Converse a running shoe. They were just too heavy, but maybe that changed?

A treadmill gives a lot, so you might get away with it. Impact absorption isn't a big factor when you're running on a treadmill. If you run on the road, however, it would be worth $80 to get a pair of 'professional grade' running shoes. If you go to a small running store, they will even watch you run to make sure you get the right fit. For free.

If your feet don't hurt in converse, than wear them. If they so you should wear new balance or some other running shoes.

Its not the best idea because they dont have very good support. Although if you dont have any feet problems, like pronation or flat feet, then try it and see how you feel. How about going barefoot?

try it and find out. I usually would stay away from using treadmills because they only give simulated running and don't help as much as real running.

that a hard question to ask because i don't know how sensitive you feet are. if it was me i wouldn't use wear converses on a treadmill. try addias or nikes instead.
