my mother wants to control all her children who are grown by the way by using blackmail and obligations

Don't answer the phone. Tell her to behave herself or you won't have anything to do with her. Mean it and keep that promise. If she pits the kids against each other, refuse to be a party to it. Don't keep "secrets" tell everyone that if something is said about someone else to you, you are going to tell the person involved. You cannot be blackmailed by anyone unless you allow it. Stop being the child and be the adult and tell mom to knock it off.

I did it, you can to.

wow, are you my sister in law? My mother in law uses money to get her kids to do what she wants, she cries and says she is in a loveless marriage and stays there so she has something to leave the kids. Really plays the guilt trip. This will only work if you all do it together.Sit down with her as a family and tell her how you all feel. Tell her that you shouldnt feel obligated to do anything, and that you dont appreciate being made to feel like that. Tell her you would rather hellp her when she isnt manipulating the situation. It is so important to do it together though. If one person critisizes you, you can put it down to opinion, if all say it together you have to think.

She only has the power that you give her. Simply don't play along and she'll have no choice but to find other ways to deal with you.

If that fails, do what I did: move far away and have little to no contact. :p

Good luck!
