Belly band. The greatest invention of the 21 century for dog owners. If you would neuter before 5mo, it will help to control the problem if you ever have another dog. Once they start marking it is too late. But for the next dog you will know this.

shitzu marking his territory against another dog has nothing to do with being trained. marking is a way for shitzu to say to the boxer this is mine i am the boss. i would guess the boxer was there first? PROBABLY NEED TO GET NEUTERED AS this is probably not going to stop.

Same as any other potty training - you need to SUPERVISE the dog while he is in the house (that's eyeballs on the dog at all times, not in a different room or distracted by something), STOP him when he starts to mark and take him outside. Reward him for marking outside. Continue until he is 100% reliable in the house, then slowly start to give him more freedom.

You have two males and both strive for alpha male position. All I can tell you is this will not be easy to accomplish. In the mind of the dog he is just doing what he can to claim his territory and to him it's not a bad thing. Good luck my friend, I never did get my two to stop doing this and I even had a "trainer" work with them. They would stop for a while and them "business" as usual.

ok... i Hav stzu puppy they do like to mark there teratory but to stop that u have some ideas.
1.take wee wee pads that have the sen on them so the dog has a place to go like marking his spot but this wee wee pad or newspapper in a place you do not use a big space of a room or even a garage once the dog gets used to goin there move the news papper or wee wee pads out to the outside or to where u like your dog to go to the bathroom after a while the dog should get used to it after that put a bell or somthing that makes noise on the door and the dog will learn to go to that door when he has to go out . never hit or punish your dog for this reason he still a puppy and will learn .

Hope i helped
Good luck

I have Shih Tzu and is 6 months old. He just learned to potty out side about a month ago. When your dog pees in side tell hem that is wrong and when he goes out side give him treats.
