No. Thats a little high, but if you are working out , that should be fine. That is over a day however (not 4 hours).
Your main question says over a day, and you follow up with 4 hours (which is it?). Big difference here

it depends on the body size or more importantly the amount of muscle mass that the person has, the daily level of exercise, time of year as it effect realitve humidity, etc. genetics and others are all factors. the 64 oz. that is recommened is the bare minimum for the "sedentary" individual. people with physically active jobs and athletes need substantially more water than that daily.
I'm 240 lbs and drink 1/2 gallon in the 1.5 hours that it takes me to exercise. it's summer time here in Vegas I go through 2 gallons a day easy

No its not dangerous, in fact it's healthy. Water helps clean your system of toxins, also when you drink water it makes you feel less hungry so you don't eat as much. I saw a news package about this new diet in where you drank a cup of glass before each meal one during and two after. They asked a doctor if this was healty and he responded "If everyone used this method of diet no one would suffer from all of the stomach related illness."

When I was in the army, in the field in hundred degree weather, sweating up a storm, my platoon leader drank almost that much. He had to be rushed to the hospital because, I was told, "He flushed out his enzymes."
So I don't know; that might be a little too much. There really isn't any reason for you to drink that much anyway.
