Yeah you have to be careful. It can be the most perfect relationship in the world or it could be the most painful experience you ever had. See if you two are really good for each other. Try to look at it from a third person's perspective. If something is overly wrong, if your relationship fails, you will have just lost your best friend. It is pretty hard to rebuild a friendship with a person after you've had a relationship with them and it failed. So he probably wouldn't be your best friend anymore. Don't rush to go out with him. Make sure he likes you a lot. Let him show it A LOT before you go out with him. If you decide to go out with him in the end, you might want to have some good friends to fall back on if it doesn't work out because it will hurt and you will probably need somebody to help you through it.

thats a very good situation for you
your best friends so you already have so much in common, and if you guys do end up in a relationship it would be good for you since he wont be a d1ck to you, he shares all your interests, he obviously cares for you (maybe subconsciously loves you) and you guys have fun with eachother.
I was in the same situation back when i was a junior (2 years ago) in hs and we each had a thing for each other however we never actually turned it into the bf/gf thing. We would find ourselves in situations (on a couch alone, in a car at night, even at a movie with friends) and we would makeout a lil bit, not the progressive kind as in about to have sex, but u know, friendly kissing, and we kinda left it at that for a while, until she got a boyfriend
which kinda sucked but at teh same time i had to be happy for her, we still talk and still kinda have a thing for eachother, which is fun...
so if you and your bestfriend decide to kinda take that path, its fun and will definately make u guys better friends, but it is possible that once you make that step to a relationship, the friendship you have now might never come back
goodluck
have fun with it!

lolzz.. good god girl, ur like me.. hey, i really liked my best friend too in high schoo. i'm a girl n he's a guy.. we so close that every1 said we were bf n gf.. we started out as best friends n when we went to college we fell in love eventually.. we had very good relationship for about 3 year but some where along the way it just changed.. he started to change in more ways then one..i'm still the same but we broke up about 2 1/2 years ago.. it was his fault actually.. i still love him but that's all.. i don't see him or want to talk to him.. i don't want to scare you or nething.. not every relationship goes bad u know.. maybe mine went bad but that doesn't mean your will too.. if u really like him n want to go out with him, then maybe u should talk to him n see what he says.. if he agrees then hey i say go for it.. but always keeps ur emotions in control n keep urself strong for the unknown ok? never show ur weakness or someone might take advantage of it.. neways, i wish u good luck with that n hope u do ok..take care..

I'm sorry to have to tell you this, but i liked my best friend, and he like me back. everything was good and happy for about 2 weeks, until he realized that he just wanted to be my friend, and being my boyfriend was too much for him.. and now our friendship is on the rocks, i wish that we had just stayed friends, it would have worked out better

yes...but the other way around. the guy told me he liked me and i suddenly just started to hate him...i think because i really did like him. anyway, i ended up liking him also but it was too late because during the "hate period" i gave him some serious attitude and he turned to someone else...however, he still liked me but i didn't get together with him.
give it a try but don't declare that you like or love him at once...just show him that you care by complimenting him, working together with him in your classes or going to the movies or beach...the latter being with friends.
