No, Kent Hovind signifies an idiot who thinks he can get away with illegal activities. He broke the law, and got caught. His arguments and positions have always been dishonest at their core, why would anyone be suprised that he himself was dishonest and a criminal.

First, Kent Hovind is a Fundamental Bapist, but he's not a "Fundamentalist". There are no "Fundamentalists" any more than there are no "Cathlicists" or "Lutheranists" or "Prebyterianists".
Second, in the recent case, no claim was made that taxes were not paid. The claim was made that taxes were paid by the wrong person.
That is, the employees all paid their taxes, making quarterly estimates and filing Schedule C's, where as the the IRS wanted Hovind's Ministry to do payroll withholding and issue W-2's at the end of the year.
So the case is that you are the one who has mis-understood.

Misunderstood.
He was jailed on false charges. But the IRS is alone in its ability to do that. What happened was that some time ago, Dr. Hovind reported an IRS agent who was committing fraud. So later, this agent turned around and had his buddies in the IRS arrest Hovind for supposed tax evasion charges. (The IRS can have you imprisoned without a trial.) The funds that were in question were just normal use of ministry funds that were tax-free.

He signifies the lying stealing Richards who are at the top of the fundamentalist pyramids.
Below them are their flocks.
Describing them as a flock of sheep is incredibly accurate: Don't think, take what they are given, want to stick with the crowd and get fleeced regularly.
He is misunderstood. But only by the sheep.

he's a typical creationist.. liar, stupid, misrepresenting science.
basically these people think that anything they say or do is OK as long as they do it in the name of some supernatural entity...
and that is one just one small step away from the people who planned 9/11

never heard of him and maybe not may others have either, so there's no fear he'll be generally misunderstood.
ps. I wonder if this question originated in the USA because never heard of him in England
