There seems to be lots of JW's jumping on the questions about their religion. Did the Watchtower group change their rules about it? Or, did the JW's that I know lie to me?

Jehovahs witnesses are not allowed to go to these forums by the Watchtower Society. They are advised to only go to the Watchtower official web site. They consider all other web sites that promote free thinking apostate. They even banned blog sites a few months back but like anything some witnesses don't follow the rules of their little club.

There was no rule, not now, not then. The preaching work will be done anywhere, street corners, business, by letter, email, anywhere that gets the word out...even forums like this. I've heard this before from the uninformed...
White collar Kip, you're a troll.

So, that being the case(sic) how is it many of us have study guides that date back to the turn of the century and the library's at the Kingdom Halls have books that go back even further, to the very beginning that YOU say is forbidden? You're lack of accurate knowledge concerning Jehovah's Witnesses I'm sure is a mirror reflection of your lack of accurate knowledge concerning Scripture.
I love it when you people can only parrot what you hear from others and have no real information to make your pusillanimous spewings any more than garbage.

It seems that the anti-Witness constituency prefers that fewer persons refute their anti-Witness propaganda. Sadly, that propaganda now involves implying that certain Jehovah's Witnesses are unfaithful or disobedient, when that claim is plainly unfounded.
Firstly, is Yahoo Answers really a forum for socializing and interacting? Most Jehovah's Witnesses consider it a mere mechanism for asking and answering, similar to other amateur reference websites.
Secondly, have Jehovah's Witnesses ever really discouraged the use of the internet by adherents?
No. In fact, Jehovah's Witnesses enable more and more internet-based tools every year. Of course, Christians are reminded that the internet can be used to waste time and view unwholesome material. As with television, Christians are encouraged to be selective in their choice of virtual association.
(1 Corinthians 15:33) Do not be misled. Bad associations spoil useful habits.

The Watchtower provides loving directions, the same as you would to a child that it shouldn't
play with matches,
play in the street,
run with sharp objects.
Why, because as adults we know children can get hurt doing these things.
There are many hurtful things in the world, including the Internet.
It warns about chat rooms, creating blogs, even talking to strangers.
You can get this same advice from any responsible new magazine, & T.V. news.
Yet when the Society makes these same warnings we are accused of trying to controll our members.
We are accused of trying to hide the truth from our members.
We are accused of being blinded.
I really doubt the JW's you know lied to you.
The warnings are still out there, the dangers are still out there.
Don't be surprised from the comments you will receive here.
All of Jehovah's Witnesses are volunteers, able to go and do what they want.
Are there consequences for disregarding the bible? Yes.
Just as crossing the street with your eyes shut and your fingers in your ears,
eventually you are going to get hit by a car.

I haven't heard where we couldn't. I don't see anything wrong with answering a sincere Bible question that someone may have.If it causes them to visit their local Kingdom Hall and come to an accurate knowledge of our wonderful God, Jehovah. I think that is wonderful. There have been people come into the truth from a variety of ways. The angel in midheaven is directing the preaching work and we have been admonished lately to utilize alternative forms of witnessing. I write letters, informal witness, telephone witness and i also do door to door. Alternative forms of witnessing also referred to as the expanded ministry, is really a good way to find people because so many are not at home.

Generally the JW will defend their faith using the same carbon copy stuff that the Watchtower told them to say over and over. I have hundreds of Email written by different Jw cult members and they all say the same stuff about their religion. They can't think for themselves and I have yet to receive anything new in defense of their Cult.
The JW are forbidden in fact to research and explore the early years of their Cult. They are forbidden to challenge or question their history. In fact from all my research I have yet to encounter one JW who even knows the history of their Cult.
Do your self a favor and research the cults history and you will see why the Watchtower doesn't want them to study the past!
P.s. if you want to see how carbon copy they are...call em a cult. They will either say that they are not a cult and all organized religon is a cult Or they will say your slandering them.

I've known some JWs form nine years and I know for sure that they are doing it on the Watchtower Society's back. Remember they use "screen names", so no other member can recognized them and tell.
