Key differences between these two sects of Protestantism?

Are there any major key differences between Baptism and Lutheranism?

The main difference, as far as I know, is that the Lutherans practice infant baptism, while the Baptists forbid it. Baptists will not baptize anyone who is not old enough to ask for it of their own free will.

And Lutherans tend to be more formal in their observance of rituals (I.E.: "liturgical" as one guy above me has said), and their pastors tend to wear robes instead of normal clothes during service.

You mean "Baptist". I suppose the main difference is that Baptists teach "believers baptism" - that is baptism is only valid if one receives it as a believer. Lutherans teach infant baptism is which the faith of the infant is irrelvant to his baptism. There are also issues about perspectives on "original sin". Like Lutherans believe that people are born guilty of Adam's sin whereas Baptists believe that people inherit a sinful nature due to Adam's sin, they are not guilty until they act upon that nature.

Well Lutheranism says the just shall live by faith, while Baptism says the just shall die under water.

The major difference I can think of, off the top of my head, is that Lutheranism is very much liturgical (i.e. it follows certain precepts, and a special order for the service).

I do not know much about Lutheran but Baptists believe in adult baptism not christening. they see baptism as the decision to give your live to Jesus as it was in acts. at the fpundation of the church.

if you read his writings, martin luther HATED the Anabaptists, [along with Jews, Catholics, Muslims, Polytheists, ect.] kinda ironic so many baptists see him as infallible.
